I just rolled over to 250 000 miles even. I just glanced down and realized I had 1 mile to find a safe spot to pull over to snap this.

How'd the new shocks do?
The rebuilt shocks and new springs did awesome. Smooth ride out across 1000+ miles to Hill Country and predictable/stable behavior on the rocks at Katemcy. Sat level fully loaded for the trip.

That's good. Looks nice sitting level with a load on it. Everyone now, it seems, tries to make their truck sit level with no load in it. I hate that look once you get some weight in the back and the headlights are pointing at the sky.

Katemcy Rocks with the LSLC guys.

Looks like it was a fun trip! Anyone get any damage? That green 40 looks pretty dang sweet! Wish that tree wasn't in the way, I'd like to see what his rear suspension setup looks like... I don't think, before today, that I've ever seen the side of your FJC!

Sooner hopefully. Sunday we figure out what size then they are 12 weeks out on the build. Should have a whole new 4-link/3-link in place for Crawl. And thanks for the compliment. It's a far cry from the FJ I had when I was upstate.

New windshield is finally in. I didn't do it, but after 6 years of looking through a crack and all the scratches it is exciting!

Slee Rear is finally on. It came in while we were in Colorado on the trails... two years ago.

Sooooo after getting the behemoth on I believe it was getting the 35"MT up on the spare tire carrier that was almost the straw that broke the camels back. Jeez that's a heavy sucker!

Thanks JP, that was the last major piece of the puzzle I was lacking. Now it's just tinkering and tweaking things and monkeying with the expo trailer.

Well after the changing out the transmission oil and engine oil yesterday, and hitting the MM I came home and decided to make my center console. Since I put in the new pt cruiser seats I needed a more versatile console, I wanted to move the drink holder to the front, have space for a future cb, and also make it lockable. Had some 5/8" plywood laying around from one of my many previous projects and just went from there.

This was last night got the skeleton cut out and nailed together.

And then after doing the family thing today finished it up

With the arm rest the whole lid will not come up for obvious reasons, so I framed out an accessory tray to the operable door.

You can see the lip that will allow me to put a lock in the lid and it will hook under the lip to keep it secure.

Cut the face at a 45 degree so a future cb will mount to the face.

Just to give you an idea of when it's in reverse, still plenty of room between the shifter and a large drink.

Just as I was finishing up it was about 6, which is when lowes closed tonight so I'll have to get the piano hinge and the lock tomorrow. Thinking about coating it with the spray can truck liner you get from lowes just to give it some protection.

Can opener, tobagan, PBR, American flag, Clemson hat. Sounds like a good weekend:flipoff2:.

Nice job on the console

Finished up the box this weekend, used grey plastidip which is a really close grey to the interior.

There goes our tax return...

So I f'd up pretty bad this weekend. Snagged my roof mounted hi-lift jack on low clearance parking deck. It cantilevered the whole right side of the rack up and then off the passenger side of the roof. Destroyed one of the cleats on the rack (dented roof too) and cracked a bunch of the cross bar brackets. Thinking I may just junk the whole rack at this point and get a real rack. These guys look to have a decent product that doesn't cost $1K. http://www.prinsudesignstudio.com/#!fj-cruiser-roofrac/c1fiz

Man, that sucks. Lucky you didn't knock a hole in your air tanks!
