Also installed a 5" OME on the virgin 94'.. first mod to her! she was BONE STOCK!!!
Still don't know what tires to get to both of them.. The 93' will be the priority, it has Nitto 285/75/16 on J springs and surely look small... 315's or 35 will be the size to go.. Still don't know what to get...

What color is the cruiser in the first photo??? Do you have driveline vibes after the OME5" lift? Looks like it sits pretty level. Are those 5" springs in the rear as well?

Power service is no joke. I thought I had a decent understanding of what plastics withstand solvents and different chemicals until I tried to have pre-loaded bottles of that stuff in the trunk of my Jetta. Was impossible to find small bottles that didn't have problems with the chemicals.

I drove her for the first time in a month (home from ACC through Atlanta afternoon traffic, in the rain). El Guapo got a head gasket rebuild including new: thermostat; timing chain tensioner; water pump and gasket; coolant hoses; water temperature sensor; valve cover sticker (very important); engine gasket; alt. belt set; spark plugs and plug wires; AC belt; head bolts and washers; coolant; dist. cap and rotor; PCV valve, hose, and grommet; fuel filter; water heater valve; vent hose; heater hoses; oil change. The head was also sent to the machine shop, and the injectors got a full rebuild.

Drove the truck to Yakima. This is the highway rpm with 35s and an h42 swap. Not ideal. I will need to get 37s or an h55

A442, 4.88's, 315's and I'm at 2600 at that speed and the speedo is reading faster than I'm actually traveling. So you are not to much different than my set up which is very common. You have a good bit of power on tap at 3000rpm too.

Flat towed a buddys 2000ish 4 door f350 home down the highway on a strap. Truck had grenaded a turbo but still ran at first, ate enough oil it couldnt fire injectors and shut itself down. Managed 70mph on the flat comfortably, inspite of common sense and a big old anchor out back. Not bad for an old cruiser, although I wouldn't want to do it for an extended period. The usual Canadian winter conditions were just the icing on the cake/windshield/road.

At least your oil pressure and engine temp look good.

The wife and I have been to those exact same spots. We love and miss that place. Did you go to the pumpkin patch?
We didn't make it there this time. We were running out of time but will probably be back in the next few weeks.

I made it to work.

Not usually a notable challenge, but it was about 12 deg F, raining and only myself and an old Volvo AWD made it over the mountain pass without sliding off the road. Had to stop to chip ice off the windshield twice.

Of course, work is a mountain range away, and it's nice here, so I don't even have any cool pictures to go with the story... :(

Edited to add: I bought GGAT2s, primarily because of their positive ice and snow reviews, and I want to X2 those. They are good on ice and snow.

I was thinking oil pressure looked low for the rpm, but only based on my truck and my experience, would be on the north side of the upper marker

Well it's a FORD(Fix Or Repair Daily) still. Actually their Triton V8/V10s are far more reliable than their diesels, especially the new ones.
I'm a ford tech by trade (diesel, trans , whatever rolls in the door). I steer people away from diesels when they will listen. Fords in general for that matter. Buddy had to have a 7.3 would not listen. I was pulling the motor a week after he bought it. What ya gonna do.

I'm not a Ford man but, I ride a vanpool to work, it's a 1999 Ford with V10 and its sneaking up on 700k. There has been no major work except one tranny replacement.

Those V10 are very solid. The 4r100 transmission behind it is not great if you tow real heavy but they work.

For many years, I have been under the impression that the ford truck/7.3 was a good combo. I prefer inline engines and have had zero issues with my cummins though! :)
