Olathe Toyota had the seals to you? I'm amazed by that, but, there are a LOT of LC's in this area that they do the work on because the folks that own them don't do their own work.

Are your pics in the Storm Lake area? Those don't look like the area around there unless it's closer to Sioux City.

The pics of the LC are from Onawa.

I almost forgot the most important pic; the bride and groom.

Funny thing I discovered; when you are best friends with the bride, there is no socially convenient term to describe you. And "worked with the bride in Afghanistan" doesn't work for most civilized people, so I officially became "the straight gay best friend of the bride" for the duration of the event. Because every beautiful woman seems to have a gay best friend.

Hope so.
They were wrinkled from storage and should relax and fit better in a while

Ha! I thought you were talking about the wedding dress in the picture right before! The conversation fits!

Two weekends actually....drove it a very uneventful ~800 miles round trip to the beach, though why come back? Encountered some all time high engine temps in nearly 5 years of owning it during an hour long standstill/crawl of a traffic jam in nearly 100F baking hot temps with the ac blasting. And the kid surfed :grinpimp:.

Put 1200 miles on my rig and actually used the 3d row seating hauling wedding guests.

Turns out the wedding planner didn't know how to plan/coordinate/execute weddings, so I unleashed my inner gay hairdresser (named Andre' fwiw) and ran that sucker like a friggin' boss.

One moment I was hauling 250 plates, flatwear sets, champagne flutes and other assorted glassware and alcohol. The next I was hauling wedding guests six at a time from the ceremony to the reception and back to their hotels and to the beach and restaurant the next day. People from 17 countries and most of the continents. I even taught 16 Belgians how to shoot an AK as a small bit of entertainment, which everyone loved.

The Central and South Americans and one of the Belgians spent waaaay too much time climbing all over my ride. I mean they really dug it.

I even ran to the farm and feed store to get parts for the John Deere model 50 fuel system, which some unthinking idiot filled with 85% ethanol. Spent a good 30 minutes going through the fuel system and replacing soft parts. The groom, who is a Belgian city slicker drove the bride, who is a farm girl to the reception on the tractor.

I even had to run down the guy who delivered the cows and calves for the wedding. I didn't even know cows and calves were a "thing" for rural weddings.

The next day had a hog roast. This is the hog farmer that appeared on the Colbert Report and is restoring the traditional breeds.

Just as I was getting to launch for the 3.5 hour drive home, my youngest called to tell me the Jeep took a final dump on the side of the road. Had to drive 150 miles out of my way to go check it out and then help her purchase an el cheapo replacement vehicle. ($2000 2000 Camry, ftw!)

Somewhere along the way, my sparkplug tube seals failed spectacularly, puking oil out of all the top seams of the valve cover. Olathe Toyota had new seals to me the next day.

Took a slight detour on the way back home in the Loess Hills. Just east of Onawa on 175 there is a gravel road with a "3 miles dangerous curves" sign that runs along the main highway. Like catnip, man, couldn't resist taking it.

This is what a loess hill looks like in profile. Loess is windblown silt dune. The great majority of the vegetation in this particular pic is cannabis, btw.

Am finally back home; Marjan's in the garage and I'm ready to sleep a week. Am seriously thinking of becoming a wedding coordinator full time someday. Loved the experience of managing all the moving parts and getting things to arrive on time and on target.
Now that was a story and a wedding!

picked up a Smittybilt 12k H20 winch with synth line, some misc parts for my puma a/c and inverter installations, rubber well nuts for my cutting board for the tailgate rug replacement, and snagged lots of goodies at Harbor Freight during the father's day sale. this weekend was like Christmas!

finally replaced my washer's diverter valve, now I can wash the mud off the rear w/s. too quick a job to post pics this wkd, but happy with it.

I stained my drawers/sleeping platform. I'm eventually going to carpet it but wanted it to not stand out in the meantime. It looks, meh, ok.

First Family wheeling trip, ever! Pinecrest Peak Trail near Strawberry CA. Packed most of my children, my wife, and one of the dogs into the 80 for a nice 8 hour drive. (LOL) The kids got out and ran, walked, and jogged for about 1 and a half hours of the trip. Good times.

Couldnt get a pic with everyone looking at the camera or smiling. Oh well.

You've got a big group there! What kind of dog is that?

Is that a cow at your campsite?
Free range cattle stomping around. They were very curious, especially the calves, as to what we were doing. Quite a few elk in the area too. It was all fairly entertaining until nightfall. Deen cows were banging into our tables and chewing everything and making all kinds of racket. The bulls on the other hand....we gave them space and when they were around we kept close to the truck.

My driver side birf started leaking this weekend on a road trip. The breather tube was pretty much totally clogged when I pulled it. I installed a new hose and filter and cleaned everything up after work last night. I hope that was the problem and nothing got blown out. I really don't feel like redoing the axle when it's 100 degrees out. I'm going to swap the gear oil out this weekend and top off my moly grease. Fingers crossed.

Also, I have two new O2 sensors on the way. I thought they were going bad lately due to running rich and getting a little pinging. Finally threw the codes on my road trip. I try to stay all OEM Mr. T for this kind of stuff, but Rock Auto had the Denso O2 sensors on sale for $42 and $47 (if you are needing some right now).
