So Ive been putting together a quad light kit. I have the mounting brackets, the bezels, the corner lights, wiring harness (Courtesy of Jose) and the lights themselves. What I dont have are the retaining frames (found on partsouq) the light buckets and assorted hardware (springs, screws, clips etc). The light buckets on partsouq seem to be unavailable, but when I enter the part number (81114-22391) they pop up as available in the US for early 90’s Tercels and 1990 Land Cruiser. Anyone have an idea if they will work with a for my quad light conversion? The photo attached is a screen shot from partsouq.

Jose ( the guy you bought the harness from) posted video using the buckets out of 84 85 camary or Corolla don’t remember which vehicle but they are the same. You can find it on you tube

Last weekend….
I picked up the truck from @TheBussman whom did the EGT/Turbo psi/Transmission fluid temp set up. All of the work was done by him. He advised the UTComp Pro gauge set up by Reveltronics, REVELTRONICS Design and Manufacturing Electronic Devices - https://www.reveltronics.com/en/. Really nice set up, tucked in on top of the steering column. Up to 6 temperature readings, turbo, EGT, AFR etc… there is also a port to plug into a computer and download data collected. I only have 3 data points but will probably add a few more. It’s easy to see and the brightness is dimmable for night driving.

This week….hopefully finished tomorrow…. No Birfields soup, but @TheBussman mentioned some possible loose wheel or trunnion bearings on the right side. Unfortunately, the adjuster nuts and the lock nuts on both sides were mangled (someone used a screw driver and a hammer) and the snap rings were useless and loose. Ordered all from @cruiseroutfit and am hoping in my hands tomorrow for the finish up. I did both sides at the same time. Worst part was cleaning. Soaking the joints in odorless mineral spirits really helped break down and dissolve the grease.
I will be glad when it’s done, far too much shrieking in Japanese for one man. 😩😫

they do clean up the battery look a lot and make new wiring connections much more simple
They sure do make for a clean set-up. A couple of projects to wrap up first, but those terminal connectors are in my future. Thank you for posting those pictures.

From what I can tell through a ton of research is the outer buckets are available but the inner ones aren’t. And I can’t tell if the outer ones would work as inners.

Cleaning and working on the throttle body (for a 1994 FZJ80). TPS and AIC were both out of FSM spec, and instructions are to "replace".

TPS... no problem.

Air Idle Control Valves for the rig is no longer available (OEM part number 22270-66010). Aftermarket are over $400.
AICs are still available for the '95-'97s... part number 22270-66011.

Both parts "appear" to be the same.

Can anyone confirm that the AIC for the '95-'97 FZJ 80s will work for the '94?

Thank you in advance.

I’ll take a look when I get home, I have used ones if you wanted to go that route.

Finishing up the dual battery install, I've got the accessories moved over as well as the winch with anderson plugs. I installed a 12V outlet for the back, but realized it needs to be fused...

I'm learning ok 😬

Thank you very much for this. I really appreciate it.

I'm going to mess with the new part when it comes in... if I strike out, I will definitely get in touch with you.

Thanks again!

Nice work! I am running a large AGM battery and dual elec. fans setup and down the rabbit hole i went. Ended up with a 150amp alternator upgrade for the additional load and the 90amp unit just wasn't enough. I might still go with dual batteries setup later down the road. cheers.
