Got into the nitty gritty on the prep for the sound deadener. Pulled the vapor barriers off the doors and dealt with the butyl adhesive. What a pain in the ass. Masked off the ceiling and the rear quarter panels. Prep work is the key to a good outcome so it was worth it.

Dropped the tranny pan, installed Nomad HD valve body on the A440F. What a mess and a huge improvement over factory. It literally transform how the rig drives now. Looking to test this out at the Rubicon in a few weeks. The upshifting is firm and crisps and responsive and onto the right gear and pulls thru the RPM range.

took me about 6 hrs from start to finish. the removal part is straight forward, just messy. I would recommend drain the tranny, drop the pan and let it sit for a few hrs to get all the fluid out. Remove the tranny throttle cable at the throttle body to gain slack. When you have the old VB removed, make sure you take notes of where the 10mm bolts go as they are a few different lengths. Oh, and make sure when you install the new VB, the manual valve lever is aligned to the slot or you will not be able to shift into gears later. Take pic of how the old VB is installed/positioned of the manual lever etc. have a extra set of hands to help positioning the VB while one person connects the cable to the cam. use Vaseline or grease to hold the new accumulator springs and new o-rings in place. Also take notes of how much oil is removed and install. After the install and oil fill, it takes a bit to get all the oil in the tranny and gear starts to engage again. This mod is one of my fav. by far..but time will tell.
