Big fire today in SoCal. Loaded up the 80, home is about a mile away from the burning now. Big DC10s flying low and dropping fire retardant.

I’m at a vacation rental right by canyon 2. Was at Disney all day with the family. It was really cool but scary at the same time. We are renting a place for the week right by the water reserve thing

Be safe all you people near fires.

Did you buy the tintable and then add the colorant? Or did Monstalner make it for you?
This is @StucknKS replacement rig Pete, as in Repeat.

Monstaliner tintable, then got tint from the paint store in color he wanted.

Note, I have blown monstaliner half dozen times now. Twice with color from paint stores (not from monstaliner) and have found that dry time significantly deceases. I would recommend to anyone to use the monstaliner colors.

I literally had nightmares last night about sheared knuckle studs/axle seal failures.

Thanks MUD.

@NLXTACY texted me some pointers about Amsterdam. One of those pointers was to take my daughter to a place called Restaurant de Kas. I got online and made a reservation for lunch as they are booked out for 3 weeks for dinner.

My daughter and I show up and it's a Lexus type restaurant. Certainly not a "356k miles with a rattle can paint job" type place.

Needless to say but we got a few looks in our casual wear. But just like with my 80 Series when I'm parked next to a $100k Defender 90, everyone else was envious that we didn't give any fawks that we weren't dressed up.

The waitress brought us out some bread and appetizers that were covered in seaweed and some other sh!t. Then she informed us that they have a set menu each day. It consisted of fried leeks, roasted beets, and parsnip ice cream. It didn't include any red meat so I told her we'd take our bill.

We left and grabbed a couple of Tasty Burgers.

So, to plagiarize @zona...

If you prefer roasted beets buy a LX450. If you prefer fried leeks (hell, if you know what a leek is!) buy a LX450. If you prefer parsnip ice cream buy a LX450. If you prefer to eat the carcass of an animal buy an 80 Series LAND CRUISER!

That’s why I ALSO suggested Merkelbach! That place is like a hunting cabin with all sorts of hearty meats for the liking. :flipoff2:

I'm thinking an LX450 might even be too low brow for this joint! More like a LX570 crowd!

That looks repulsive and obnoxiously over-pretentious.

Those things all sound like great accompaniments to a good steak. Win and win (in my LX ;))

Visited Young AZ, somewhere in between a ghost town and Deliverance, but...surrounded by beautiful forest in the middle of AZ. Interesting place and yes, they had a winery with an anti-gov't stay away militia as long as we get food stamps and welfare money to buy more ammo and my wife is my cousin and you noticed the confederate flag next to my giant satellite TV dish in my yard...vibe.
