Sure, I followed the FSM procedure here:

Go ahead and check the relay rod end first. Once slack was out of the relay rod end I went to the steering gear box adjuster. I turned it clockwise about 3/4 turn in ~1/8 turn increments. It felt pretty good so I did not go any further.

I'm told it gets tight at the ends of steering travel if you go too far and you'd want to back it off.

@Ian Crawford thanks again, I adjusted the free play adjustment screw in my gear box following the fsm page you posted…….and…….WORKED GREAT! My relay rod and steering components, except a steering gear box, is all newish within the last 5-8k miles so all that looked good and had no play or slack. My gear box has been leaking since I bought the rig a few years back. I did some small fixes to it and seem to have all but completely stopped the leak. The reservoir seems to hold fluid now with just some slight seepage. But after following the adjustment procedure my free play is within spec and steering seems a lot more responsive and tighter. Some of it might be in my head, but it feels better. Perception is reality, so I’m happy. Can’t beat those 10 min free “fixes”. 👍👍

Heck yeah, not a bad Monday's work!

This 84 FJ60 had a leaky left brake caliper. I started the knuckle rebuild about 6 weeks ago. I sourced brake parts from RockAuto, knuckle and wheel bearings from cruiserteq, and lug studs and nuts from Wit's End. Clean up and painting was what took the longest. Pictured is the left side. So here is a little bit of "how it started, how it's going"... Moving on to the right side which is already torn down, cleaned, and painted.

@Godwin , per chance do you have a part # for that flex line to the caliper? i've given the pronto # from FJACS thread to my parts guy but he's not found anything yet. thanks for your time 👍

This is what I'm using 96940-33005.

Wheeled it last weekend. We need some more wagons on the trails around here.

Pulled this heifer home after @NC LX finished the chevy 63's in the rear. This truck drives awesome. I'll be making some changes over the next few weeks.

French those hangers in and you'll really like it. Lower CG, easier to get in and out of, can park in parking decks, and 37s fill the wheel well nicely. Check out @cruisermatt's or my truck to see what that looks like.

I’m gonna start pulling leaves because I want it lower like y’all’s trucks. If it goes under the knife for something it’ll be for 80 coils up front.

My setup rides better then a typical 80 coil spring setup honestly. It definitely has more articulation.
