So I was tired of only finding merch that was of only stock Fj's. So I just started doing my own. First attempt at doing this with a photo what do you think.?
This video doesn’t go into detail about being in reverse when the self adjusting actuator is operating. Maybe I’m totally off base with my assessment that it only happens in reverse but that’s was my understanding when I was learning how to rebuild drum brakes.
I helped a friend do his on his Jeep and the drums were slipping in the driveway. After I had him put it in reverse and hit the brakes a few times it stopped and it’s been functioning great ever since. Maybe someone else has a better explanation. But I think it has to do with the geometry of the star gear in the actuator.

I got my BMW E90 3 series sport seats installed. I had to make brackets cause Torfab didn't have any in stock, oh well saved some money and it wasn't that hard. I have a small subwoofer under the passengers seat and it just clears thankfully.
They fit perfect and I have a feeling this is going to be one of my favorite upgrades! Just waiting for the ebay car side seat plugs to come in so I can get the electrical done. Then the plan is to have the rear seat reupholstered to match, redo the door cards, possibly make some new rear cargo area panels, and new carpet.
Well chalk one experiment up to a failure (so far). I pulled the "repaired" lock solenoid out of my driver's door on my 62 for the winter, or at least until I find a viable solution to replace it with (hint hint @ToyotaMatt ). It keeps freezing and making it impossible to unlock my driver's door, so I removed it for now so I can use the door lock with the key and just not have a power lock in the door. My fix last year, which I suspected wouldn't last as long as a legit silicon/rubber seal let go and let water in, which started to freeze in the solenoid. I know @torfab has a solution that they install in house, but it's not a kit or anything that they sell outside of the shop. Problem is I live a 4.5-5 hr drive away from there so it's not easy for me to get over there and just have a conversion done

Got my fuel tank recall performed by Charles Mound Toyota in north Austin. Talk to Will with service at 512-323-1320 and he will look up your VIN and can get the OEM tank and hoses ordered. For the 3-4 NOS fuel lines they used “bulk” lines with no issues. I bought a fuel sending unit from City Racer and a gasket from @mattressking that the service guy installed. I was charged $80 for the lines. I told Will that there are many 60 owners that might be looking for this service and I’m posting my success here on Mud, he basically said “bring it I love working on classic cruisers”.
Good luck to y’all
Hi @aer0397 ... how timely. Last week I noticed a faint gas smell inside the car and it made me wonder whether there was a small leak somewhere in the intake hose.
How does this work? Do you simply call the dealer and provide them with your VIN to determine if this work was done previously? If not, then it is just a matter of scheduling at any Toyota dealer?

It's not the cheapest option, but a long range tank is worth it. I got the one from Manafree and there are other options, but it's nice to pass a gas station.
I'm surprised that the 62's and 60's have a different gas tank, but it's easy enough to check. I need to drop by the Toyota place in the next few days and I'll report back. MoaByte is right about the benefits of a larger gas tank...or perhaps ideally, the benefit of a different engine.
