Trying to troubleshoot a brake issue I have. The brake lights like to stay on even when I release the pedal. The pedal itself has fully retracted to its resting position and if I wiggle it just right, the lights shut off. There's some side to side play in both the clutch pedal and the brake pedal. Should I tighten the nut and bolt at the pivot point to fix this? I can see that I can adjust the length of the brake light switch as well.

Check that the pin on the brake light switch hasn’t penetrated its rubber stopper/grommet. If it has, I believe that brake lights staying on is the primary symptom of that failure.

I was just messing around with my brake lights which stopped working. Ended up being a bad fuse and a failed wiring connection in the rear end.

I had a similar issue. Turns out I was just low enough on brake fluid that my cap was signaling the light. Topping the fluid off stopped it entirely.

Try removing the brake switch and operating it with your thumb and see if it works correctly to turn the brake lights on and off. If so, it is probably just an adjustment on the switch itself. I had the same issue and it turned out that the plunger on the brake switch had broken inside and was not operating correctly.

Installed new OEM hoses (as many as you can still get) and a Champion Cooling Systems aluminum radiator a couple of weekends ago.

*Did not transfer the Mud Dauber nest to the new radiator.

Very happy with the fit, finish and function of the Champion radiator, only 300 miles in thus far.

[Not pictured] I also installed @Forerunner 's heavy duty battery cable kit, great product and fit.

Make sure you ground that aluminum radiator or electrolysis will eat holes in it. Looks nice! I have one too. Been good for years now.

So I started getting some very annoying wind noise from my one-off T-T Expo 200 roof rack at about 70 mph.

I used to have a cargo pod up there and I had wind noise, but after removing it, the noise got much worse. Now I wait.

Let me know how you like the faring. I have been searching for a good one. Seems like a reasonable price point.

Installed the much needed 62 style mirrors. Much more visibility! And since I can't live without blindspot mirrors I will be heading to the parts house to aquire some. Also made brackets out of superstrut, carrage bolts and spin on knobs from the hardware section at Lowes. I mounted them to my roof rack and attached my traction boards to it. Then I mounted my Shovel and axe/Mattock combo. I didn't fabricate the tool mount but it seems to be a sturdy product. All in all I had a fun weekend with the projects. I would have had my new wheels on also if Firestone would have agreed to mount them. Unfortunately they have a policy about not mounting used tires on rims. I'm sure it is an insurance thing or maybe a way to sell more tires. Looks like I will be going with my trusty shade tree mechanic for the wheel install.

Fixed my horn finally. PO had put together some spacers on the horn ring to bring the ring closer to the pin. Stand it off from where it mounts on the steering wheel. Well it worked for awhile but finally started to give out again. So I got the proper parts and fixed it correctly. The old pin was so worn down its a miracle the horn worked at all. I'd say it was time. I don't know why someone would go through all the trouble to do this spacer trick and not just fix it right while in there. PO's, amiright? Put everything back and good to get the truck inspected next week.

I'm in roof rack mode too. Waiting on a fairing to quiet it down. Mine is a daily, so I don't keep tools attached because of crackheads. I have a Friskars all steal spade that I strap up up with a 12" NRS strap when I'm not commuting.

Replaced my fuel filter, running so much better now. Old one was almost black and they're supposed to be clear.
