Check that the pin on the brake light switch hasn’t penetrated its rubber stopper/grommet. If it has, I believe that brake lights staying on is the primary symptom of that failure.Trying to troubleshoot a brake issue I have. The brake lights like to stay on even when I release the pedal. The pedal itself has fully retracted to its resting position and if I wiggle it just right, the lights shut off. There's some side to side play in both the clutch pedal and the brake pedal. Should I tighten the nut and bolt at the pivot point to fix this? I can see that I can adjust the length of the brake light switch as well.
I was just messing around with my brake lights which stopped working. Ended up being a bad fuse and a failed wiring connection in the rear end.
