Dual Batteries and a panel in the cargo area with USB, cig, and a 50A Anderson.

You can fit a Group 31 on the passenger side stock location, but I am still on the fence as to whether it was a good idea. It's taller than the factory Group 27, and the clearance is tight enough that putting the cables on in the wrong order or using a big battery terminal will cause smoke, sparks and assorted unpleasantness when you close the hood. Everything is fused, functioning, and clears, but I am not completely happy with it.

Didn't get to wiring the in-cab switch. That and a dual vm will be part-2 when I have time to play with the dash. I am also seriously considering a desmog just to get the real estate on the driver's side fender.

downclimbed the steep north face of Crestone Needle in sandals
Not much the same but similarly I did a 4K in NH in tevas a few years ago. The coming down was the hardest part.
What’s the elevation of Crestone?

What’s your truck on for a lift and tires? Damn thing looks huge! And I love those old trailers. The red rims are an interesting touch.
They are 37 in military tires with 16.5 in wheels recentered and converted to accept lugs. The axles are sprung over, with an add a leaf. The rear axle is an 80 series axle and has air bags for ride adjustments.

Ran a Group 31 Yellow top Optima as a second battery, driver's side, for a few years without any clearance issue. I think I used mil-spec battery terminals for connection.

Installed new window felts and front side markers. Now all my other lenses look like crap compared to those new ones!

Also, ordered a winch and some new mil spec battery terminals.

Crestone Needle is 14,197 feet and Crestone Peak is 14,295 feet. I've climbed 44 of the Colorado 14'ers, still have 10 to go. Probably won't finish them off, but there's plenty of other things to do in the mountains and deserts of the Southwest. Perfect territory to explore in a Land Cruiser.

Can't wait to get my '86 FJ60 build completed. Next up is installation of the fuel injectors and fuel rail, complete with new fuel pulsation damper and fuel pressure regulator from Rock Auto. Just reinstalled the A/C compressor yesterday, and the revamped A/C evaporator earlier in the week. Pretty soon I'll have everything installed under the hood, then it's hooking up the parking brake and speedometer cables, and installing the driveshafts. Then it'll be ready for a trip down to the custom exhaust shop to tie the 3FE exhaust manifolds into the FJ60 catalytic converter. By going that route I'll eliminate the stock FJ62 exhaust pipe crossing under the frame :-).

Tossed on SOR seat covers - interior armor! Figured since I've protected the exterior I might as well protect the interior.

Overall I'm pleased... the material is tough, color match is spot on and fit is decent (for 30 year old foam). Very tiny gripe though - the rear cushion cover lacks 4 holes for storing the head rests when collapsed and it lacks 2 holes where the rear back fastens to the rear cushion when collapsed. Minor omissions that can be easily worked around when collapsing the rear bench but those changes would make the set perfect but still worth the coin IMO...

It'd be a shame not to finish that list of 14 ers
Maybe not a shame exactly but yeah, get them done @4Cruisers, the self satisfaction will be far more complete saying you did them all than even driving a cruiser around for the next 20 years. I’ve done 3 of the 4ks in NH... 45 to go!

So I am new around here, and I am new to Cruisers in General, but loving all of the info on here, so thanks yall!

Pretty eventful weekend:

1. Seat cleaning, Sort of good for not taking the seat upholstery off the seat...
to

2. Changed Spark plugs and wires... Very needed, plus the NGK blue wires look cool

3. Took the grill off, and touched up the black parts of it. It looks a bit more sharp then it did.

4. New floor mats from Cruiser Corps! LOVE THEM. No sliding around, and super thick and durable.

None of your pics are visible for me, just Fyi

A few weeks back I almst ran over a small sedan that was parked behind me at the gas station, figured it was time for larger mirrors on the 60.

Picked up a set from Cruiser Corps while they were on sale before Christmas and finally tossed them on.

They look nice and are fairly sturdy. Big visibility improvement but was a little disappointed in the distortion around the edge of the mirror. Still decent for $70
