Loaded up the surfboards and my home made pvc roof shower and hit the water at Linda Mar, Pacifica Beach. Loving this roof rack. The shower fits perfectly just inside.

Cool shower! How much water does that pipe hold? And I'm guessing the black pipe heats the water, no?
Yup, 5 gallons. Plenty for two people post surf. I also have a bicycle tube stem Integrated on top of the shower. So I pressurize it with a portable air compressor. Water comes out pretty strong!I'm betting about 5 gallons...

Looking forward to the tear-down. Trying to get the frame sand-blasted and POR-15'd. Considering a engine/tranny swap.Take your time putting it back together. It only happens once.
Well I finally went back to this workshop today to get my rear bumper & tailgate replaced, and this thing is still progressing. It now has the engine in & a tray fitted. Needs some custom headers for the LS1 to fit between the engine & the steering shaft, but otherwise the fit looks pretty good. Please go back later on , keep up updated with pics. I find this intriguing to see how they finish it up. Any chance of
sneaking pics of how they did the frame lengthening?

The one from Amazon is what many of us used. CSF 2708 to the tune of almost $300.Pulled the fan and shroud, to tighten down the water pump bolts that caused one coolant leak, and discovered I have two pinholes in my radiator, so I started a new thread, because I can't seem to find a radiator. Might go the repair route if the repair guy will answer his flippin' phone.
Unfortunately it's not mine, but I have a couple of other photos from a bit earlier in the build process. The guy that owns it has a business that specializes in cutting down cruisers into dual cab utes. There's another 62 out the back which is being cut down into a dual cab on the standard wheelbase as well. It's got a 12HT in it, and he also has a full ground-up restored Sahara High Roof with 12 HT that has had every last nut & bolt anodised, repainted, new rubbers etc. Even he said that he "took it a bit too far", as he will never drive it off road again after all the work that was put in to get it to the current state.Drool. Have a build thread for that?
Built a rear bumper!

Miracles do happen....
Over a year and a half later, I finally found the time to go through the emissions systems and find the improperly routed vacuum lines, replace the cat, and pick up some stock sized tires for the rolling emmissions test. The truck passed with flying colors on the first try.
Now, time to get back to enjoying this thing!
Old results first, new results second:
