Dog looks like he wants to hike! Lol

This is the kind of setup I want for solo travel in my gx470. What do you have near the front seats under the bed?

I have a section of plywood that fits on top of the folded seat and rests on a "ledge" I installed on the back of the storage drawers. I have the plywood set up as a 60/40 piece to match the seats width when folded so I can have a 33" wide bed if my boy's car seat is installed, or a full width bed if he isn't with me.

If the fridge is with me, it basically gives me an inverted "L" shaped sleeping area.

My wife is 5'1", 98# though so we actually fit with the fridge installed (barely). We just have more room to stretch out in the tent or without the fridge.

The plywood section I made stows under the drawers when the seats are unfolded for use. The mattress is an REI XL memory foam/inflatable mattress. If I'm taking out the fridge, i have a trimmed to size queen size 3" memory foam mattress topper that fits perfectly.

The other GX off this morning at Off Grid 4x4 in Longmont. Matt is helping out with a dual battery system.

Timing belt, water pump, radiator all done on my new to me gx. Sourced all parts based on searching here, paid an Indy shop to install. Now I can focus on the fun stuff.

@Lifted the batt system looks sweet

It really is. And the crazy thing is that my battery died this morning as I was going to the shop for install. Matt actually had a spare battery and hooked me up with that and some pre-wire for my fridge to save me some work. Plus a APP up front to plug solar in. Super impressed with his work. It looks Lexus quality all the way. His shop was nice and clean too just like the work.

blue's balls? :rofl::rofl:

Ended getting awesome deals locally here on some KO2 285/70/17 load E, 5 tires. One new for spare and the others were all around 14/32, pretty much brand new. Also a set of Tundra/Sequoia OEM wheels to allow proper fitting and no rubbing. Got them all today, mounted and balanced, rides better than the duratracs I had on and much quieter! Unfortunately, with the bigger tires, can't fit the spare unless airing down the tire but I suspect with the kdss suspension, it'll still make it hard to fit. Cons, can't fit but pros, almost 100lbs lighter in weight......at least for now. Pushed the front liners to prevent front tires from rubbinng at full clock. And best of all? It still fits in the garage! Next question, do I keep the wheels looking stock or plastidip them? Maybe matte gray or bronze? Oh, stock wheels and tires are going for sale, if any interest, pm me. Thanks!

How’s the wind noise with this setup?

The crossbars do create a unique noise on their own, but before I headed out this weekend I installed an Inno universal 40" fairing. I had to take off about 1/8" of each end of the plastic fairing to fit in between the factory rails. I set the forward most crossbar back enough so that the fairing would not interfere with the sunroof operation. Now there are no crossbar related noses.

In the process of mockup up and stitch welding on frame plates and universal TG sliders. Goona dial in some more angle to them. Just mocking the distance from the frame at the moment so I know how much to chop off the bars. Forgive the messy garage, I have a couple other projects scattered about.

Did you make the under rear bumper tubular skid? If you was able to purchase it where did you find it? I like it!
Kind of some discussion going on about it.....it’s a (partial-no tire swing out) mountain passes off road bumper. He may be making some more. Steve Foltz is his name he’s definitely on Facebook and here I just always mix his name up. Search for mountain passes off road and you should find it. I like it too and sometimes you are paying for innovation. More metal=more weight to me.
And my DA is awesome:

Is the suspension lift contribute to difference in clearance? I dont think bumper only will gain that much.

Definetly my favorite bumper design for GX. I am not building a rock crawler so heavy bumper is not necessary for me.

Steve is here as @co4wheel

there is a one inch difference in the heights of the vehicles. And the lower one is one inch higher that stock.
