You know you're doing it right when you have to winch downhill... right?
I have a section of plywood that fits on top of the folded seat and rests on a "ledge" I installed on the back of the storage drawers. I have the plywood set up as a 60/40 piece to match the seats width when folded so I can have a 33" wide bed if my boy's car seat is installed, or a full width bed if he isn't with me.This is the kind of setup I want for solo travel in my gx470. What do you have near the front seats under the bed?
So very clean man. Love that setup. My Frontrunner boxes are awesome. I have them split up into to separate chuck boxes. One for camping, and one for day trips. Looking forward to seeing how you set yours up.Got the Front Runner Cub packs in and they fit perfectly. View attachment 2069502View attachment 2069503

The crossbars do create a unique noise on their own, but before I headed out this weekend I installed an Inno universal 40" fairing. I had to take off about 1/8" of each end of the plastic fairing to fit in between the factory rails. I set the forward most crossbar back enough so that the fairing would not interfere with the sunroof operation. Now there are no crossbar related noses. How’s the wind noise with this setup?
Did you make the under rear bumper tubular skid? If you was able to purchase it where did you find it? I like it!Pole Hill Road outside of Estes Park, CO. From the funtreks book. It was a fun trip we did after dropping

Kind of some discussion going on about it.....it’s a (partial-no tire swing out) mountain passes off road bumper. He may be making some more. Steve Foltz is his name he’s definitely on Facebook and here I just always mix his name up. Search for mountain passes off road and you should find it. I like it too and sometimes you are paying for innovation. More metal=more weight to me.Did you make the under rear bumper tubular skid? If you was able to purchase it where did you find it? there is a one inch difference in the heights of the vehicles. And the lower one is one inch higher that stock. Is the suspension lift contribute to difference in clearance? I dont think bumper only will gain that much.
Definetly my favorite bumper design for GX. I am not building a rock crawler so heavy bumper is not necessary for me.
