Broke something in the tailgate and it won't open even w/ the window all the way down:crybaby:............added to the list

Well the body is off the frame. I rolled the frame to the front of the shop. Now to take the body from the '73 pig and put the '78 body on it. I am going to do it this way for now. Then cut and weld in new metal as I drive her. The tub from the '73 is so rusted that the supports for the upper rear seat fell through. As well as other issues. This will give me a back to factory stock tub. :grinpimp:

Not mine, but I drove past this the other day... I hope it's not just going to sit there and rot....

Holy Shish-kabob!

Someone has got to put that thing back together!!!

Fit and finish is a _ _ _ _ _ I know why people hire people pay to get there Glass put in. Its only one way to get every thing in right.

Going to get it done in time to bring it to the Roundup at Katemcey?

pulled the carb off the blue pig and working on rejetting it

Found out why my rig will not idle consistantly and keeps dying when I decellerate or come to a stop.....cracked IM. Well, I hope this is why it is doing those things. I have been chasing this for months now....

Started out with a project to find out why there was no 4th gear on the 700r4. I don't know much about automatics so I took the rig into a local shop. After some investigation, the shop told me that the transmission had been rebuilt but that the 4th gear pressure switch and the lock-up wiring was missing. I talked to Georg at Valley Hybird and he told me to get a Painless lock-up kit and it would have the parts to finish the job. Got the parts and installed them and now I have 4th gear and lock-up, but we all know how Piggy projects go......While checking out the wiring for the brake switch cut out switch I found the wiring was such a mess I had to do something about it too.

So I got a 7 circuit aux fuse box to replace an old fuse block, a new relay box from Wired Wagon and a Painless 2 battery system. Wiring sure looks better now

Finally made an aluminum radiator shroud. Maybe it along with the double pass aluminum radiator will keep the Piggy cool at Roundup! Damn small block 400.

Wired up a new license plate light, stuck in a new fuse and all the lights work. Also, ordered the hub clips and a clutch fork boot from Toyota parts. I'll post up some pics when I get them. Can't remember if they're in the resource thread.

Dicking around and thought I'd throw my old Q78s I had on the 45 onto the 55 to see what it'd look like...

Wow, I'd forgotten how rough these things ride. They fit fine, only rubbed on the tail pipe a little when the body rolled, going around a corner.

Cooooll! I like the old steelies with the caps better as wheels though. Ha!

Rough ride? Oh well, it's a biatch being cool....

Looks good. Longer shackles? Lift springs too?

Not lifted, stock springs and shackles. I've had the springs re-arched, but that was at least 10 years ago.

So the shell of a body is off the '78, no doors, tailgate, interior, etc...
I just finished cutting the '73 pigs body up into pieces and stacked them against a wall. The roof is laying on the shop floor. Now I just need to roll the 78's frame over to one side of the shop and roll the '73 frame over to the '78 body and place it on the '73 frame.

If all thats not already confusing enough.. :p

Got my windshield back in and didn't break it. Nice to drive it to work again:clap:---will post pics manana

Put painted headers, Fixed IM (had it welded last week), Remflex gasket, and Stock Carb Back on. Started right up. Held idle and ran like a stripped a$$ ape. Good times!
