What did you do to your pig today?

Yesterday I put the center console all back together.

Ran a new throttle cable - smooth . 8' long. loops all the way around the carb. No more S curve.

Relocated the fan. Secured the trans cooler.

Just about ready for Toys For Tots at the Badlands in Dec.

Installed new oil pan gasket (second time this month)

Took stuff apart to replace output shaft oil seals and couldn't get the old ones out.

Repairing the parking brake set up which had 1/2 inch of caked on grease throughout the whole assembly. Fun.

Let me know how you like this!
Will do! As of now, it appears I need to make different brackets for the radio to connect to the mounting holes. It fits pretty nicely though.

Took advantage of SOR's 20% off sale and bought a brake master cylinder rebuild kit for the 74 Pig, a brake master cylinder rebuild kit for the 69 FJ40, and body molding/weatherstripping for all four doors on the piggy.

Think I will buy 2 sets of each of the MAF add-a-leaf springs, and add a short and a long to both front and rear. It seems to be the only option to moving shackles, etc., as pig springs are apparently no longer available anywhere.

Great thread!

Havent done much recently but I have "saved" up some time to work on the piggy. Still working on patch welding the front clip, sanding down parts for POR15 paint (brake booster, air-cleaner, gas tank etc)

Looking forward to getting the body off the frame this spring!

But I should also mention my wife bought a new cruiser, so hopefully my efforts wont be spread out too much trying to maintain it as well ;)

Took the floor mats out, and scrubbed and scraped, wanting to see what the floorboards looked like. Not bad, surface rust, but no holes.

Hmmmm... a friend of mine is in a bit of a mess using Alcan springs. They are trying to rectify it but it's not going as smooth as the buyer would hope. Can't say I'd buy Alcans as a result. Just my $.02. Feel free to tell me to f-off.

Lifted my eldest daughters 62 wagon 2.5". And was supposed to finish up youngest 80 wagon (new pinion and carrier bearings in the front punkin)...but the Marlin kit had the wrong carrier bearings  and they were supposed to have fed-ex'ed the right ones for Friday delivery ...maybe Sat...  will they show up tomorrow :bang: :bang: If they do..I won't be able to f with it till next weekend :bang:
