What did you do to your pig today?

I believe thower steering pump seal kits are fairly universal,e ACDelco p check out the ACDelco part number 19146606 seal kit if your leak reappears. Street price is around seven bucks and it has the thick square o-rings that seal the bolts.

street price may be 7 bucks but if you walk INTO the napa store, where the ACDelco number does not compute and you get to wait 30 mins watching them dick around the keyboard, you can pay 16.82 (17.62 with tax) to fix their foulup.

But why is it that they don’t just give you a new pump?

Cuz i didn't take it in to trade it in. I finally got me the right pump, it's in and working. I'd rather rebuild it than risk getting another leaker. I got another identical trailspare pump I carry in the Pig. Plan to try another FLAPS tomorrow, one where ACDelco part numbers work, buy their kit too. rebuild the pumps one at a time. This is my first power steered vehicle, about time I figgered out how it works.

I finally have my clutch adjusted to where I like it. If I would've known how easy it was to do, I wouldn't have driven it a couple thousand miles like it was.

Related to my clutch issues, I found out the source of my engine oil loss/pressure plate slippage; my dang oil pan was starting to come off. All but three of the bolts holding it on were only finger tight. I'll be sure to check on that more often in the future.

I'm also slowly gathering up tools for my birf clean out and grease swap. Got this beautiful tool from Amazon, along with a brass drift to get the cone washers out.

It's the Wilde 9" angle tip lock clip pliers.

Just bought a pair of those angle tip snap ring pliers from NAPA. Won’t open quite far enough, like 1/8” too short. Will figure a way to make them do the job.

I just bought a chunck of 1" round x 14" brass rod and cut it in half- one for each rig. McMaster Carr is awesome.

fine thank you. I read the forum everyday, but as I don't have often clever things to say, I stay discreet

Pulled the meter out and found the 5v meter limiter , pin was loose on the circuit board (see arrow ) got it cleaned up and re soldered . went to the gas station and left a generous deposit of cash ( 50 gallon tank ) . and it seams to be ok . at least it went to full , it has not done that in 10 years . looking at my collection of meters some of them shared this problem on the pins that go to the board we not making good contact .Time will tell
gauge 2.webp

Completed a lift installation which included;
-2 inch lift Alcan springs
-SOR bushings
-CCOT HFS 1.5 greaseable shackles/pins/spring hanger pins
-OME shocks, ubolts, and steering damper
-33x10.5R15 BFG KM2's

Here are a few progression shots :)

Are they the Wilde 9" kind?

Those could open your snap ring to the point of failure, and then some.

I just went out and tried mine out on my clip, and it has an excess in capability for that clip.

The ones I bought are only about 6” long. Might have to pickup a set of the 9” ones, since my sons and I have several land cruisers we will be maintaining over the years.

Thanks, just ordered a set. How far are you from Fulton, Mo.?
