'er...Just got home from three weeks in the 3rd world and rain-on-snow and coooold have made turning over the pig pretty hard. Battery dead, even though it was d/c'ed. Gotta wait for the temp to get over 30 to open the doors without ripping off all the door rubber.... getting tired of snow country during the winter.
Need more dirt in my life, less ice.

Maybe a little too comfortable (I worried that I'll get soft and not want to drive the 55 when it's put back together

tried to stop the leak from the windshield wiper pivot, installed the 60 series door seals, messed with the PS door alignment, poly glued the plastic bag that my new feather pillow came in onto the inside of my DS door, pilfered door panel clip receivers from the left over back half doors and some clips from the back door panels and stuck my DS door panel on, biffed the DS defroster hose into place, looked at how to make a bracket for a manual big 62 series door mirror to bolt to the PIG, played with some garage door seal and body panel gaps-looks promising for the hood to cowl/ hood to fender/and fender to A pillar apron, poly glued the doortop to window frame junction to match the windowfelts(big fat bead, trim to match felt rubber w/razor blade after cure...fingers crossed) I'd like to think the big ugly patch of poly sealer between the inner cowl wall and the inside face of the pieces of the windshield wiper pivot flange will serve some type of purpose.....

Gave Piggers 2 early Christmas presents. Moved him into the garage for the first time, and finally got the Mercedes engine in... Sort of. It's resting on blocks and tie straps for now. Tomorrow will be bolting the fan and radiator in place for fine adjustment before tacking the motor mounts. Next time someone tells me a diesel conversion is easy I'm slapping them. Hard.

I put together a big wheel for my son. Does that count??
I put valve cover gaskets on and gave my piggy spark plugs and a fuel filter. Changed the oil and filter. Next on the to do list is power steering

Watching my poor girl rust. Been raining all week 
Took the cutting wheel to the floor to reduce weight and improve air flow in the cab. Ok, in reality the long transmission needed more room. Got the engine and tranny in their final resting place, but since nothing is easy... The motor mount arms are too wide. Not enough clearance on the passenger side for the rubber puck. Looks like I'll be combing eBay and picknpull for the shorter arm...

Today I fixed the squeak from the rear bumper/tire carrier by replacing a couple washers and tightening everything up. Tried to get the carb body I had soaking out of the can of carb-dip..the carb dip was frozen solid. Put frozen can of carb-dip in the sun to thaw...
Tightened up the sqeaky powersteeringpump belt and knocked the icecicles off the black Pig and started it up. Hadn't been run in a month or so...
