It will NOT fit. The diameter is too large (10 inches). It won't fit past the clutch master, and it also covers the hole in the firewall where the wiring harness comes through.

It is substantially larger then the one on my 74 Pig.

:hmm: Now really curious how the 86 booster from a mini truck compares to the booster from the 84 4X series. Tried looking up booster off the 86 on a online site and came up empty thinking it's NLA in the US market. I do know the clutch master changed in the early eighties, maybe to clear the booster. 8/80 the booster changed design from the big dual diaphragm to a single diaphragm.

My 84 pickup truck booster measures 8 1/4" and fits fine.
All bolt holes lined up on the firewall and the original 71 FJ40 master cylinder.

I picked it up in a Tucson junkyard.

Guessing the original master attached too that booster was set up for disc brake front and drum back. Probably a nice set up when adding disc brakes up front with the low power stock engine and not much bigger than stock size tires. Like the OEM power steering not the best set up for a rock crawler.

Finally put plugs, cap, rotor, and plug wires in my 80. It had only been 6.5 years but non oem wires were crap. Cleaned the carbon out of the port through the intake for the egr vsv and got rid of my p0402 code as well. Now I just have to get the shoulder to heal enough to do the TB, WP, etc on the GX in re next couple weeks. And replace the rr shock on the 200 that appears to have given up the ghost at 180k miles. Never ending, but the 3 combined do have 650k+ miles

Installed new rear anti sway bushing and hardwear, new fluid in both diffs, transfer case and tranny, and new oem shocks. Man she rides a lot better already. Still have springs and the rear upper and lower control arms and panhard to refresh for the rear and a lot on the front but she's on her way to feeling much better handling and ride wise:) I might even get to start adding some of the fun stuff soon...

Difference of 2 years... '69's have the added work of what to do with the firewall stiffening member that is in the way.

Piece of cake to modify your firewall - all Toyota did was cut the vertical brace back below the booster and add a diagonal stiffener strip.

Repaired both front electric door actuators and an oil change for the 100, cleaned the MAF and air filter on the 80. Tuna can was 1/3 full of dirt:hillbilly:.

Just got 2 boxes of goodies in for this weekend's work, on both the 40 and the Pig.
For the 40 I got spindle gaskets, new pedal pads, new handles for the seats, and a rear differential gasket for when I do the rear disc brake conversion (all for the 40, from SOR).

From Pacific Customs Unlimited I got a bunch of 10mmX1.0 brake parts (T's, plugs and other stuff), They are a great source for anyone trying to update from 9mm to 10mm, but also for anyone just updating the brake system they have, because most of those parts are not available anymore.

For the Pig, I got a carb rebuild kit.

A new addition to the family! The Corolla is the new addition!

Is that a Plug-In Corolla?
Parking effort need some improvement, but the color is right. Congrats

No. Where I live no one has plug in cars LOL! and I park over so no one dings my cars. So its perpesfully bad parking ;) ! I live around very careless people... will be moving in 4 months and hope to have at least one of my cars in a covered spot!

Has anyone purchased tires off fleebay? Looks to be a good deal on the oddball sized KM-2's I run. Free shipping.

Well still chasing the fault of the 'cruiser flat-lining. The PO said he had the FP replaced because a shop said it was bad. From what I found all the shop did was replace the space in the PO's wallet with air.

Not a horrific job but as usual, one good thing turns to something else.

It appears that the interior guy installed the seat bolts with a air gun, 5 of the 8 seat bolts are stripped. Anyone know what size/pitch these bolts are? Need to buy a metric tap and clear the holes and get new bolts. Found the seat bolts at Mr. T (P/N 90119-10493) but nothing that says what size they are. So for now, more free space behind the front seats :)

P.S. "OSO" also got a new fuel pump relay and load resistor.
