New injection pump. I'm told it is for a 1HD-T.

22100-17880. Not sure if this will bolt on a 1HZ. This part number corresponds to a 1HD-T/FT. Any knowledge out there?
1HD-FT pump even if it bolts on i wouldn't try to run it on a 1hz. the injector pressures are way higher on a FT. 1hz pump should be cheaper too

Thanks TB. What about getting new injectors to match? Although this is now getting a little overboard...

New winch day.

I think this may be the first Carbon Winch in the States I've seen. See if it holds up.

need a new complete cyl head, pistons, connection rods, manifolds, injector lines and drill a few holes in the block to get it to match.

Hello,

It would be better to get an engine assembly to match the pump...

No need to fabricate or drill holes. Bolt-on and you are all set up.

So my son has been making noises that he would like to drop a diesel into his manual transmission 80. We are just finishing this 1HZ:

But if I sent it to him in Florida that would leave me without an engine for my current 105 project.... I decided to go hunting in Sharjah. Found this:

1HD-T with H series transmission and transfer case. Purportedly in poor shape because it was from Afghanistan and been running on kerosene. But I like a challenge.

Does anyone know how to identify what vehicle an engine came from by its serial number?

Hello,

The curved lever and its position suggest it is from either an 80 Series or a 100 Series. 70 Series trucks have a slightly different setup.

Word of caution: Don’t buy the new Noco Lithium batteries for your diesel Cruiser. The diesel starters draw to much amps and the Lithium can’t handle it. They go into a safe mode and will not start the Cruiser.

Cheers

Good shout, had that exact battery on the list for my cruiser. Thank you!

Beautiful! looking sick. You going to put a tub or tray on the back? Also have you found a lithium battery that does work for our 24v starters?

Cheers!:beer::beer:

Well, we have hit a snag on the Chinese 1HD-FT diesel pump. The tachometer is not working correctly. It shows a little movement but does not reflect the accurate RPM of the engine. We swapped pins without success.

And ultimately we pulled the intake manifold again which allowed us to remove the hall effect sensor on the back of the pump without removing it. Just barely possible.

When we did we found that the two sensors were quite different.

The length of the new sensor, on the left, was markedly longer than the sensor from the old pump. We put the old sensor back in and sadly it did not fix it.

For those of you that have not looked into this there is a wheel inside the pump whose teeth trigger the hall effect sensor.

The old OEM pump is over at Bosch being refurbished and recalibrated for a manual transmission. That should fix it I think, but I would really like to solve this problem. If any of you have ideas we should try I'd greatly appreciate it.
