I found this 13BT intake hose problem last night... Merry Christmas.
Anyone know of a substitute or work-around?
The little vacuum hose port seems important.

I’d install a new spare tire. That one looks like it’s from 1989.
it is the one from factory, and it is going to be replaced like the others with sand tires

theyre multiplying!

Finally replaced my fender flare pads (seals) all around. The seals were so brittle that they crumbled when touched.

Before pic with overspray in all it's glory >

Everything came off clean and the brackets and body are in good shape. Dirty AF inside there! Drilled all the rivets out and replaced them with Toyota bolts, Cleaned it all up and chased the threads.

Ooh. That factory color.

New yummy hardware all around.

Only issue I had was these two f&%kos pulling out. Was able to repair with good old JB Weld easy enough.

Used 6x front seals (53851-90K00-01) for both front and rear. Just trimmed the fronts down for the rears.

Thanks to those that have done this and posted tips and info.

These tidbits from @FJ73Texas were helpful - What did you do on your 70 series today? - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/what-did-you-do-on-your-70-series-today.804784/post-14465970

My seals had been coiled in bags for a long time and they were pretty unmanageable. Ended up taping them all down flat to a table in our house for a week. The unnecessary high temps my lady keeps the damn house at helped them relax enough to make it easier.

Oh. My rivets were all into threaded captive nuts. Luckily I drilled out the first one and noticed. So, carefully drilled the rest and was able to remove the rivets without damaging threads. Just chased the treads and they took those 90119-06278 bolts like a champ. Thought I'd need to drill larger and tap or rivnut.

This truck been easy to make ready for the gov inspection next week. This weekend is the time to make many touch-ups, like painting the grill, and to consider using black so it lasts longer. New H4 with the wires was on the point. Also, a new OEM radiator was in

Was tired of trying to browse workshop manuals on my bloody phone. So repurposed and old computer and screen and mounted to the hood of a toolbox.

Probably my biggest win for some time.

Yeah that's a good idea, i've been meaning to do something like that for years. Would stop me from having to run into the house all the time to look for some info, then I get comfy on the couch and don't want to go back out!

Cool! I use my tablet but the problem of greasy fingers is unsolvable.

Replaced my failing 30A OEM alternator with the Amazon/Ebay special 60A aftermarket hoo-haa a couple months ago. Was lucky to have it on the shelf.

Had the OEM unit rebuilt semi locally. Picked it up the other day and paid under $200 out-the-door. I supplied the regulator, brushes and holder. He supplied the bearings, rectifier and love.

Been a busy day here, got my new Braid Dakar wheels installed, shout out to @DKRBJ71 for the inspiration. Went with a matte anthracite finish and -20mm offset with a 7" wheel which yields an approximate 3.170" backspace. It's perfect! Also got my first test rear tail gate panel in from the laser cutter. Going to get the rivnuts installed but the fit looks great and am super happy how this turned out.
