Dropped the troopy off for someone else to work on for the first time since owning it. Should be nice to finish off some things in time for summer trips.

I power washed all the mexico off my Troopy and put 5 cans of fluid film into the frame and body panels. I believe in a strong offense in the war against rust. Strike first!
Is rust an issue where you live? Can't imagine it is.

No but I roam through salty places. Enough that my old 60 developed rust issues and caught me off guard. By the time I saw how bad it was it needed some serious body and frame work. Never again.

I have fantastically bad luck with paint. Probably I do not do enough prep.
I have had the most success when I start with 2-part epoxy primer.
