Seemed appropriate for a Saudi spec truck. :)

Cleared out the customer cars....gave the employees take the day off.....turned the phones off and spent the whole day playing with these guys. Pulled the power steering pump off the Troopy and experienced probably the most caked on mud/dirt/sand/I'm-not-sure-what I have ever seen in my life. It was out of control. The hot water pressure washer wouldn't touch it. The dirt that is on this truck is almost like it was run thru concrete.

I got two days with the Troopy over the weekend to finish a few bits and pieces, fit the new wheels, give it a much needed wash, and finally experience the Hercules roof.

Straight back in to the shop last night to finish internal measurements and CAD design for the rear set up and power install.

Could not locate the parts locally so I ordered a new radiator from Japan and hub lock from UAE for my 93 PZJ75.
Thats not totally accurate; the local Toyota dealer wanted $1500+ for a factory radiator and about $500 for the hub lock.
Went down to the Customs Post Office to pickup the parts.
I had my sister in law go to the counter figuring she is a local and wouldn't charge her a rediculous import tax.... Yeah right !!!!
After paying $210 import taxes for the two parts; I was on my way.
Even with the tax and shipping on the radiator; the price was still less than half the dealer price.
Installed the new hub lock; I am going to wait until the old radiator leaks again before installing the new radiator.
Actually it was yesterday for me, but today for most of you; I am in the PI and ahead by 12 hours EST and 15 hours PST.

Who did you order from? It's hit or miss (mostly hit) when I've ordered stuff from the usual suspects. Occasionally I'll get hit with a customs bill, usually only with DHL. Generally, they just arrive with no bill though.

Was all ready for a HUGE order to arrive today from Partsouq but US Customs felt it necessary to rain on my parade and keep it for a bit. First one I've had held up in a very very long time.

It appears I was the only Toyota Ute at Hardee's this morning.
A chicken biscuit, tater tots, and a Land Cruiser ... Life is indeed good.

Played around with the camper truck today while we had a rare light day in the shop. Need this thing ready to go for the big meet up! Installed a really neat DRG Offload fridge tilt and slide. Very happy with it...had to make a few spacers to prop the fridge up to clear the slide it's on but not a big deal.
