I am re-doing my Pig paint scheme, hopefully before the summer. I want to paint the interior this winter so I need to pick a color sooner than later. The electric root beer color is fun but I want to go back to the 2-tone paint scheme.

Truck was built 10/73 and was originally white with rustic green. I am partial to pumpkin or the deep, royal blue (Nordic maybe) that was also offered in 1973/1974. I do like red but would be tough to keep looking nice and red paint is far more expensive. The original green is still really nice and looks great.

Gonna paint the inside floors and doors the same color as the outside as well as the pillar posts up to the headliner. I'm making my own leather door panels from scratch. Should look schweet when I'm all done.

No Pablocruise, I will not paint it pink :flipoff2:

Thoughts? It's heavily modified already so the originality resale value of having the original paint scheme I think is somewhat diminished or gone. Not planning on selling anyway.

Can't decide!

I'm partial to white/green... specifically nebula green:flipoff2:

OTOH, I'm using my rig in the woods and such and want to keep my visual pollution to a minimum... thus no neon colors, reds, etc.:flipoff2::meh:

I checked the color chart and it seems that Rustic was the correct color for the year. I have some flakes of it still inside the gas cap cover. I do prefer the darker green though

Yeah, the electric root beer is a bit much but people say the love it all the time. weird.

I found flakes of the original green underneath

Haven't yet been on the trail yet. Not gonna do much hardcore stuff up here as it's all trails with tight trees. More worried about leaning it into a tree than rolling it over. One slight move could wipe out the whole rain gutter and roof in a second.

Thought about yellow but passed. I do like it though. Had to narrow down somehow

Pumpkin is in the lead. I've painted 2 other trucks pumpkin so my wife is sick of it. I'm between pumpkin and green at this point I think

I'm a bit partial but I voted for green.

One slight move could wipe out the whole rain gutter and roof in a second.

Do you really expect to keep your rain gutter when you wheel? Mine are mostly gone on both 55's. They're kinda like sliders only higher. Now there's an idea, maybe I need some heavy duty rain gutters.

Off topic, but have you chopped out your rocker panels? or was that some sever rust? lol.

IPOR makes some pretty nice heavy duty replacements.

They were chopped out when I bought it. there's nothing there really left in that area that doesn't have swiss cheese-itis. My buddy in NH is going to do the cutting and welding. Least I knew what I was getting!

Pumpkin and green are tied at the moment. I think Green is gonna be the winner

Going with the Green officially. thanks for the input. I would have done pumpkin but I've painted 2 trucks in 3 years that color and I'm burned out. In fact, my M101 is pumpkin and I'm going to repaint it green.

Thanks!
