From reading I've done, you might want to go to a part time 4wd kit with the 300M axles. I'm not 100% sure on this but I remember that being a recommendation

I'll have to remember that and talk with you before I pull the trigger

Since Mr. @Land Shark gave me a deal on his old fridge, I figured I’d give the Slum Cruiser a nice electrical upgrade. Haven’t decided exactly on battery placement /type but have everything mounted, power cable ran to the front and connected to the battery. As of right now redarc has been bypassed until 2nd battery has been installed.

Also installed some sound deadener behind everything. All panels from DeltaVS, used BlueSea CB’s and fuse panel and Auxbeam 8 gang switch panel to control lights and such in the future.

Looking good man!

Finally got around to installing an overhead console from @Ballsie on here and it turned out better than I imagined. Only problem I have is now I have to look up and see my finger print laden head liner.

and what goes in the round hole? Inclinometer?

Hadn’t decided really. Leaning toward coolant temp. I did pull a 4conductor Belden cable up there for when I decide. Maybe volt monitor.

I have something else with a pucker factor gauge that gives me a good enough idea on vehicle lean.

Finally got some time to work on the 80. Gave it a good vacuum and (mostly) installed the drawers I bought from Alan

I finally got the air bag light to clear from driving it with air bag out. Also installed all new lights in my dash and got the GREEN "D" light back. Now to get the check engine light out!

The 80 got some more love today. 1 1/2" wheel spacers, swapped out rear 30mm spacer to a 15mm to lower rear down. New o2 sensor, egr test kit, diag t-case as actuator not locking center diff, but was able to get both axles to lock.

Check engine light is off and air bag staying off.

After the Potts run, I decided I was going to hook my Premier Power welder up to Lynchburg. I also developed a noise from my alternator. I took advantage of the Labor Day sale and ordered the correct one for my 350. I need to get this cleaned up and make a bracket and it will now live on.

This will be awesome to have thanks for setting up!! Not hoping we use it but it would make for some interesting times!

Started working on a few things on the 80 in regards to wiring. Pulled apart the cluster to figure out why the center diff lock light doesn't come on. Eliminated all of the bulbs behind the cluster as the culprits and figured out that there is a broken/missing piece in the trip meter (forgot to take a picture) which is why it doesn't spin. Maybe I can get a working one off of someone's parts truck and swap that in.

Also started looking at the stereo wiring under the dash...what a mess from the prior prior owner there... I found a bunch of things tapped into the existing harnesses and abandoned it looks like under the dash. Some of it I assume is for an old cordless phone system but who knows so going to have to fix a few things there. The speaker wiring looks like its halfway tapped into the existing wires but also daisy chained from one speaker to others from what I can tell. Not sure how that ever worked... I need to find a wiring diagram
