I have a 1997 FSM that I have been using for mine. Working on the same CDL problem. I installed a new bulb but CDL not working. I have a few more things to check but all the switches are working on the t-case. Now to the relay in the kick panel.

Got it thanks Charles.

Let me know if you find anything Rob. I think I'm going to check the position switches on the T-Case next. Both of those looked old when we did the gears

Get a couple of these. They're cheap and easy to replace

You need a 27mm flex head box wrench
Or a 1 1/16" I plan to buy a cheapy 27,mm and cut it down to about 8" to make it easier.

Ed, you can just jump the 4lo wire and see if the actuator moves. You can also take it out and excersise the switch to see if it works. If the actuator moves then check the front switch that is the CDL light .

Started working on a few things on the 80 in regards to wiring. Pulled apart the cluster to figure out why the center diff lock light doesn't come on. Eliminated all of the bulbs behind the cluster as the culprits and figured out that there is a broken/missing piece in the trip meter (forgot to take a picture) which is why it doesn't spin. Maybe I can get a working one off of someone's parts truck and swap that in.

Also started looking at the stereo wiring under the dash...what a mess from the prior prior owner there... I found a bunch of things tapped into the existing harnesses and abandoned it looks like under the dash. Some of it I assume is for an old cordless phone system but who knows so going to have to fix a few things there. The speaker wiring looks like its halfway tapped into the existing wires but also daisy chained from one speaker to others from what I can tell. Not sure how that ever worked... I need to find a wiring diagram

Found a thread on those and they’re ordered. Apparently there are a few other options as well

I’ll try this this weekend and report back

I ended up replacing all the solenoids before I realized that it was the bulb 🤦.
If I would have just done the jumper test that Rob mentioned first, I could have fixed it faster and cheaper. At least I know now it shouldn't be a problem for a while now.

Anyone have a carpet spot cleaner that I can borrow for a day?

Continuing to detail the white cruiser and fix small stuff before selling. Cluster lights out, airbag light flashing. Probably going to end up selling the 100 and rav4 to get a Highlander for Lauren.

Are all the cluster lights out? tried dimmer switch?

Have you scanned any codes on air bag light? Did you hit the front crash sensor when installing the engine? About the only thing I have seen on those is the clock spring but the light was never flashing.

I have not scanned the codes yet but will do the jumper method later to see what it's showing is wrong. I don't believe we hit anything and I think it's probably the clock spring as I'm getting a click when I move the wheel back and forth. Horn works though so it's not completely dead. It's just a few bulbs out in the cluster most of them are on.

I think they are 168 or 74 bulbs

What color is your dash?
