What are these wires for? (1 Viewer)

That's helpful. I wonder if there are any year to year differences and the real question is where the harness goes from the diff if I'll have to drill or not.

See that diagram

If your in Florida we could meet and perform the swap

3 harnesses that bring that signal from the rear axle up to the front.

The front has one harness.

Thanks. I have most of that. That's a great diagram. Once I get the motor fixed that will be one of the priorities and a good time to put in the new suspension.

Dang dude, I extended the Olive branch and no reciprocation

#80ownerproblems

Sorry, if I'm missing something here. I really appreciate the help to do the swap and appreciate the wiring diagram. I did not have the wiring diagram. I'm probably 3000 miles from you and I'm off the grid during the day and don't Twitter. A buddy of mine and I had stripped elocker axles from a 96 with the computer and as much of the harness we could get to. (Truck appeared rolled.) Thanks!

Thanks!

This is a Metri-Pack connector. Its NOT OEM for Toyota.

On my truck it is the highbeam headlamp bulb connector.

Ok. If you don't mind, post up a pic of your highbeam harness OEM plug. Thanks!

Thank you! That's it right above the oil filter slightly to the right. I wonder what sensor that is and why it was disconnected?
Left to right: temp gauge sender, Ect cut switch, Temp sender for ECM. ECT (engine coolant temperature) cut switch disengages the A/C compressor when coolant temp reaches 226 deg. So I have been told. If that one was disconnected it would not have affect you normal operations. Do you have an FSM?

Thanks! I do have an FSM, but the picture I found labeling engine sensors is very vague. It's for a 96 model. Don't know if there are any 97 differences?

Gotcha. It has the striped OEM type wire going into it so I assumed it was stock.

Thanks! Do you have a build page on your 80? Sounds nice!

Wondering if there are any free online EWD manuals? Thanks!
