Come on man, do I really have to Google search for everyone on this site.

Quick Google search found the kit at Amazon for $438. If you have Prime that's free shipping, but probably pay sales tax.

Here is where I got mine.

They had a sale/coupon going on. Went back and looked at my order details and I paid $417.50 shipped. You just have to spend time and look around for the best deal.

So these are the same brake kits that Slee sells?

Nice, I just ordered the last set from Amazon! Just saved a ton of cash! Thanks!

I use a set of DBA 4000 SERIES brake rotors and HAWK LTS pads on all 4 wheels. Getting a bit more dust then with stock pads, but stopping power is way much better. I feel more safe at high speed and when tow my trailer.

Congrats, you will enjoy that kit!

Do yourself a favor and pickup all new OEM brake hardware too.

Speaking of hardware, I'm looking into having private label braided brake line kits made up along with shocks.

Ok, you got my attention. I tried like hell to get the StopTech kit with braided lines and waited 3 months for them to produce the SS lines. StopTech claimed they were having difficulties procuring the unique LC fittings. Ended up canceling and got the PowerStop kit, and never looked back. However I would love to pickup some braided lines as I need to flush the system some time in the near future.

Coming soon one "MASSIVE" shock for the LC...

Just installed the Powerstop kit on all four corners. Big difference in stopping power. Time will tell how long they stay quiet for, but I am happy with them so far.

I'm about to install the power stops in the front and I am waffling between oem pads and the evolution pads that come with the kit. Does anyone know why Slee (or if you are watching, please chime in) changed to recommending the OEM pads instead of the evolution pads?

In my experience, the OEM pads not only performed better, they wore better and didn't squeak and squeal like the Evo pads. I also tried the NAPA Adaptive One pad, which also squealed and didn't last long. There were a few guys at 100s in the Hills who had just went to the Evolution pads, and they were not happy with how noisy they were.

OEM pads only for me. If it matters, I run 360 Performance drilled/slotted rotors.

Just another reason why 100s in the Hills is such a great event...... it really is a showcase of real world products being used on our vehicles. If it works, you'll hear about it. If it doesn't you'll hear about it even more.

I used the evolution pads on all 4 corners and regret it. They squeal like a wild pig on any dusty road. My next set will be OEM all the way around.

OEM pads only for me.

Ditto - tried some of the others and staying w/ OEM.

When I called and asked the question the answer the Slee folks gave me was inconsistent wear among the different pads. They didn't mention squealing but not to say that wasn't on someone's list.

I'm going to try EBC green stuff pads when it comes time to do my brakes. Used them on other vehicles and have been happy with them.
I bought EBC

I put EBC green 6000's (EBC recommended) on my 2004 Lexus LX470, and got only 15,000 miles again. When I spoke with them, I got every line in the book. I drive too aggressively, our pads are high performance, etc. I have never hear of such low miles on brake pads. Never again.

Brake pad material is matched to the material of the rotor...

Not much variation in rotor material. AFAIK, brake rotors are all gray cast iron except for the exotic carbon-ceramic rotors.

I've had good results with Akebono on two German cars (front axle). Brake dust from them is very manageable compared to the horrible sooty black brake dust from stock BMW pads. In both cases I ended up selling the car before wearing out those pads. I did get 3 trouble free years with the Akebonos on my last car before I moved it on.

One of the hardest things to get a brake pad to do is stop quickly when it's completely cold. If you can live without that expectation (IOW, understand that you need to press harder on the brakes when the pads are dead cold) you have more flexibility in pad choice.

It seems to me that a more performance oriented pad makes sense on the LC/LX due to vehicle weight and load capacity.

I'm going to need to do my fronts at some point in the near future.
