This actually is not done either.... the turn signal will be relocated to the grill... Just gotta make a harness for it to reach and some form of attachment... then all that jazz will be cut out...
Oh, yeah, I'm also going to be cutting up the fender and "cleaning" it up a bit too... somewhat of a skin.

OK, so I went and cut out the turn signals and did the drivers side....
Rock clearance? Will I be able to get on that rock?

The prep work for the bob was an all day thing... but right now all I gotta do is tidy up the weld lines, cut here, trim there and it'll be tacked on tomorrow!
I'll be putting the body mounts on the inside of the frame rails for when I dove tail the bed, making it stable.

I got a whopping $380 into the tires AND wheels!.... $300 for the tires and $80 for the wheels....

....as in a toybox! that's why I went back to the 3FE so I could bolt on a H42 tranny and then bolt a toybox onto it...
The H42 is geared for the 3.73 60's diffs, so throwing it into a rig with 4.11 diffs makes it be like 5.27's then throw a toybox on it.... DANG!
What are you going to do about the front fenders?

cover them with flat stock... I'm not putting fenders back on it... i need the space and width.

it wouldn't work on an 80 though... it's already too wide and then the tires couldn't travel up at all...
I do plan on a 40 bezel and hellas in it maybe down the road... narrowing the front that much more, maybe then i could do fenders like this...

I've thought about adding some arb style fender bars and tying them into the fender to make something similar. maybe just use a rubber strip to tie it in so the body could still flex.
Ahhh yeah! How I missedthis build I never know. Looking forward the outcome.
