Coming along...

Got backed up on some extra body work I wanted to take care of. So I stripped a couple areas and made sure it was perfect.

Also decided on painting interior. Looks good I think. Next up are the doors, (which I have started on) and then shooting clear. I'm using LIC-30 Valspar binder for the clearcoat. Dries to a rock hard finish and looks great.

Thanks,

Almost done... I'll post some more pics up tonight.

Just installed gas tank cover, roll bar, and moving onto pass seat etc...

Getting the last little things finished is a PITA!!! :)

Wow... I'm impressed.

Very nice work. This is the first time that I've checked back on this thread since you first started it..

It looks awesome.

That is very impressive! Love the color and also the bedliner material.

Question. What are the holes for near the fins on the hood?

One pic.. What do you think of this idea?

So my batteries died, but I wanted to share a pic of an idea I had. So I installed it. I think it came out pretty good.

Fender welts for the win!

Plus you get an idea of the paint thus far...

More pics after new batts...

No idea...

I have no idea what they were for. They were there when the PO bought it. They are semetrical, and done very well. Maybe part of that dealer installed "desert package".

Just finished the fuel plumbing last night along with getting the pass seat upholstered. Will be installing that tonight.

Fuel guage not working, so I will need to chase that down. I ran new wiring to the tank, but there could be a disconnect near the cluster, or even a fuse. (havent checked that yet)

Almost there...

Getting closer everyday... And I thought I would be done by October...

Putting all the "fun" stuff on now.

Couple more

The paint has come out very well. Has a good shine to it...

Will be putting some wheel spacers on it to clear the older wheels. Hard top is 2 weeks from being done. Heater is getting hooked up next along with other little items. (which really add up)

Almost there...

Here's a shot from today. Decided to take her for a spin in 30 degree weather with the top off, and winshield folded down. Lots of comments for the 15 minutes I was out there. First time she has been street legal in 13+ years! :D

Just a few details to work on and shes all done.

Score...! :grinpimp:

Engine? Tires??

I just read thru this whole thread, and missed something:

Very curious to see an early F motor in a 2F rig. Was that by choice, or did a good F just present itself, and there was no good reason NOT to use it?

What brand/size are those cool tires you have installed in the later photos?

NICE rig, and you do VERY nice work.

Good question

Thanks for the compliments.

It is an F Motor thats been rebuilt. All new bearings, head has been worked over, and all shafts have been turned. This was done before I bought the engine. It has strong compression and all cyl are within 5lbs of each other.

It's not smog legal, but I'm in Oregon, so no worries there.

Tires are 32 x 10.50 SS TSL Radials...

Some final shots...

Hard top all done... She is a two hours of work away from being DONE!!!!
