Hey guys...I just joined TLCA last night and will be coming out to the meeting tonight. Here are some pics of my newly acquired 80.

450 miles without a hitch.

Yep
June '79
Runs and drives great.
No going to do too much to it.......just drive it and have fun.
May try to find some original front seats........although the Jeep seats were very comfortable during the 450 mile drive home.

Im actually already down here casue of work but my wife and Daughter are still with the house. I wanted to see the local groups and what they are like. ENough about me lets talk about my rig.

Believe it or not what you see is a samurai. HA. But what you don't see is all yota. engine, tranny, tcase and axles.

Thanks, yeah I took it out on its first run yesterday ( in current form). It still has some bugs to be worked out, but she did good. I wish I could bring it out with you guys. Im still trying to sell my house in TN. So im not living per say in GA yet.

1971 FJ40

Just a couple pics from when I got my 40 about 10 years ago! (the light blue ver)

The Silver painted ver. is the first restoration ran good but ran out of time and money!

The Flat black is the newest Resto. I started repairing any and all rust and got some new tires and wheels! Also I re-wired the truck! I will soon build a custom dash!

Sick looking 4runner - RST is an awesome website!! Glad to see it back online. Hanging over there is dangerous - makes you want to spend lots of $$$.

not a huge fan of the new body style 4runners but that is a pretty sweet ride. never seen one with a solid axle in ATL...

There's only 3 total that I know of, one's up in Va, one in Ca and this one. I think the next project is going to be an FJ40.
