Was this OE? I can't say I recollect ever seeing one this way in the past? If it is OE, any idea what years?

Really? Say it isn't so Kurt.

Standard issue fixed cab 45, circa 62 and 63 model years. Texican, tornadoalley, wasabi and many others have them. Ray even ran Rubithon with one in '04.

Seriously, I've never ran across one here in Utah. I found some pics online of one, and the SOR catalog has a part breakdown for the dual windows. Neato. I'm going to stop by and see if they want to sell :D

As far as I know the fixed top short wheel bases have these rear windows.
I know that the latches and rubber for the sliding rear windows are hard to come by. Judging by the pic it looks to be a early model, possibly a early model with the fixed front windshield maybe a 63 or earlier model.
Good luck and great find!!!

So just 62-63' as Mark pointed out? Or did it run a bit later? I know of a 67' fixed cam swb that does NOT have the sliders. I'm racking my brain to think if I've ever seen the sliding windows, I'm 99% sure I have not. This will be a first :D

Good luck and great find!!!

Thanks, not sure what to expect but it never hurts to try :D

Could that possibly be a subaru brat next to that shorty..even more rare if that is a canopy top for said brat!

How tall are you Kurt? if you are over 6' you won't like the fixed top too much..

That is a Brat and likely a shell too, I havn't been over to see the rig yet (20 mins away), but the freind that sent me the pics described it as sitting next to a Brat :D

I'm 6'1"... I've driven some fixed cabs in the past, nothing I would call comfortable but my intentions would be a "gas station" rig in which I use it for nothing more than a run to the parts store or to grab a soda.

Now that you mention this, I have never noticed until that the rear windows can actually be slid open. Sweet. I have heard you have less leg room in the SWB is this true?

64 Swb Nrht

This is a 45 that I built several years ago. It was registered as a 1964. What other window configuration was available on a non-removeable hard top?
