the ones in my junk H are the 10.5v I’ll switch them out. Hopefully they will work. Might order a set to get them moving this way. Thanks again @duncanrm ! I wouldn’t have even looked

14V is very odd in a 2H !

Not sure why most everything takes 3x as long as it should. I burned up another hole saw for the exhaust flange so I ended up getting out the plasma cutter and getting it done. Which I should have done in the first place. Got the glow plugs switched out, painted some more stuff, water pump, thermostat is on. E brake is on with a new cable. Bellhousing is torqued down. Next on the list is mate drive train and get this thing in the air and in and start on mounts. Hopefully this time tomorrow I’ll be in good shape…

25 days and counting

Picked up my motor mounts from the welder today. My welder won’t weld that thick so I had someone else tackle that. I ended up cutting off the base of the 2h mounts and cutting off the perches on the H and had them grafted together. Got a new high pressure power steering hose made for the 2h power steering pump and new alternator oiling hoses. The hoses cost me an arm and a leg so wasn’t happy about that 😡

After I got the engine where I wanted I bolted the 2h bases to the engine and then bolted the h perches to the rubber motor mounts in the truck and then tacked welded them in and headed to a professional welder. Thankfully they turned them around pretty quickly.

Called it an early night last night and stopped working on this at about 12:30. Usually been 1:30 or 2 am. Got the new steering coupler on, had to tap one of the mounting holes for the steering shaft to clean up the threads. Got mounts painted and feels good to have engine in and sitting on the mounts. What didn’t feel good was hitting my head on the bobcat fork so hard it bleed.

Got the rear prop mount on. It’s going to be a little unconventional. Since the bellhousing shifts to passenger side. The driver’s side will have to be welded higher than the passenger. Today’s goal is to get this welded up. Hopefully down hill and bolting new stuff after this is done..,

Bobcat forks bleed?

😛

Alright working down the list. Got the engine in a burned in the rear mounts. I went to oreilly and bought some cheap exhaust pipe and got that welded together. Welds aren’t great but I’m in an hurry. Ended up my tensioner for the power steering was frozen up and the bolt broke. Thankfully I have and old Isuzu diesel sitting in the corner and I’ve been robbing JIS bolts off of it and it has a tensioner that should work.
