Thanks Bro. This place is awesome. It’s either scammers on FB or spiteful trolls on here.
Check the thread you ****. I posted engine pics yesterday, or were you to busy eating Cheetos with your dick in your hand. **** this group I’m out.Or the newbie that posted a truck with no price, then adds its $45k and still didn’t list pictures of the engine
You missed your peak of selling it. Wish ya the best!
You certainly entitled to your opinion.
As a group we tend to look out for each other
As a long time active member I was doing just that.
Cheers
If anyone is genuinely interested hit me up in a message. I don’t have time or patience for the rest of this BS.View attachment 3847121Virginia: 1996 HZJ75 Troopy. Just imported from Rwanda, it was an NGO truck for years (Norwegian Church). Fresh paint, all fluids flushed and changed. Brand new tires and battery. Unique seating model with a second row of forward facing seats. Dual fuel tanks. Engine is original with 215k KMs and has been completely refurbished. Chassis has been scrubbed and treated to prevent rust. The truck is mechanically sound and ready to go.

I'm local and would be willing to look at the truck if anyone is interested. Also curious about these two door handles, I don't think I've seen this configuration before.

- Does the truck have heat and AC and are both operational?
- Power steering?
- Front/rear lockers?
- Full float or semi float rear axle?
- Seems like front disc brakes and rear drum brakes?
- Is there any documentation that comes with the vehicle?
Well I imported the truck to save it from being scrapped at my last post overseas. I thought there might be a market for it here. I listed here based on a suggestion from someone on the FB LC group. I’m not a scammer, just a dude who had an opportunity to bring a cool truck home. People here seem to be more interested in the mall crawler that was at the dealer getting serviced every 3k miles than a truck with a story. This truck has probably helped refugees seek shelter from being murdered, transport injured, and support the poorest people on the planet. Yes it has bush repairs and field mods to keep it moving forward. Just like the rest of us. If that can’t be appreciated as it is then so be it. These guys seem more keen to harass than inquire. I don’t have the patience for that. It’s a legit truck with a story and it’s for sale. The community is wary of people selling stuff in their first posts, the people here are a encyclopedia of landcruiser-ness and dont suffer bs very much AND you need an initial razzing being new....so guess what you got it all at once in your classified ad,
theres a rule here too... no crying near the land cruisers
The door handle situation is unique. It allows the second row passengers to open the door when the front seat is folded forward.I'm local and would be willing to look at the truck if anyone is interested. Also curious about these two door handles, I don't think I've seen this configuration before.

Valid points. However, railroading a newcomer who is simply trying to bring something to the table is trash. If it’s a desirable model and people are interested than that’s awesome, let’s start some valid discussions and do away with the trash talk and harassment. There is definitely a list of things that help a posting like this along on here.
For this troopy I would say:
Price (you posted already)
Engine bay shots to show rust and whether any bush repairs are hanging around
Under carriage shots to see how the frame and suspension are holding up.
Close ups of the typical troopy rust spots. Not one troopy listed on here is trusted to be rust free or even low rust without a fair bit of detail and photos of the rust removal.
Maybe more info about the church since you know the vehicle source.
There are plenty of lookers here (myself included) but the best buyers for this are here on MUD. You have an extremely desirable spec in LHD diesel with low reported miles, two row seating up front and dual tanks. I would recommend looking at troopy posts from the past two years to see what seller info was well received!
You forgot the nice, fancy easy access diff fill upgrade on both axles:there are some good points to it and bad
red flags
-new paint with bad overspray everywhere even over the info plate and on engine hoses, people hate this, hinges and fender trim sprayed over, missing badges
-that engine oil bung in the pan is really bad and is indicative of general treatment
-floor liner is hacked in
-decent amount of rust maintenance underneath to do on the floor pans
Good
-interior looks ok
-suspension isnt bagged out completely
-looks mostly complete
-1hz with reasonable mileage
half of 45k would be a better starting point
