Virginia: 1996 HZJ75 Troopy. Just imported from Rwanda, it was an NGO truck for years (Norwegian Church). Fresh paint, all fluids flushed and changed. Brand new tires and battery. Unique seating model with a second row of forward facing seats. Dual fuel tanks. Engine is original with 215k KMs and has been completely refurbished. Chassis has been scrubbed and treated to prevent rust. The truck is mechanically sound and ready to go.

First post is a terrible ad with no information, proceed with caution.
Belong to a church.
I haven't heard that one in a long time 😂

Thanks Bro. This place is awesome. It’s either scammers on FB or spiteful trolls on here.
There is definitely a list of things that help a posting like this along on here.

For this troopy I would say:
Price (you posted already)
Engine bay shots to show rust and whether any bush repairs are hanging around
Under carriage shots to see how the frame and suspension are holding up.
Close ups of the typical troopy rust spots. Not one troopy listed on here is trusted to be rust free or even low rust without a fair bit of detail and photos of the rust removal.
Maybe more info about the church since you know the vehicle source.

There are plenty of lookers here (myself included) but the best buyers for this are here on MUD. You have an extremely desirable spec in LHD diesel with low reported miles, two row seating up front and dual tanks. I would recommend looking at troopy posts from the past two years to see what seller info was well received!

According to the rules of the group when I joined the price is NOT supposed to be in the listing. That is supposed to be in message threads. I’m sorry I don’t know what denomination of Norwegian church mission owned this vehicle in post genocide Rwanda over 20 years ago. I posted pictures that I thought were relevant and I am happy to provide any additional photos or information beyond the list of details I included in the ad.

You certainly entitled to your opinion.
As a group we tend to look out for each other
As a long time active member I was doing just that.
Cheers

I'm local and would be willing to look at the truck if anyone is interested. Also curious about these two door handles, I don't think I've seen this configuration before.

What information do you want?
  • Does the truck have heat and AC and are both operational?
  • Power steering?
  • Front/rear lockers?
  • Full float or semi float rear axle?
  • Seems like front disc brakes and rear drum brakes?
  • Is there any documentation that comes with the vehicle?
