Vintage Cruisera Insights

Hi all,

I'm newer to the older land cruiser scene, but have been looking for an FJ40. I stumbled upon Vintage Cruisers and had a really pleasant conversation with the owner Greg. He gave what felt like good insight into a separate cruiser I was looking at and then shared that he had one coming in soon that I may be interested in, but that I'd probably be happy if I went with the other one (that he's not selling). Man, what a nice guy.

...and then I read all the threads on here. Son of a...

So here's my question that I feel like I already know the answer to but want to pose. Most of the frustrations and concerns with him seem to be based on repair/restoration work. Would anyone buy from him without and service being done?

I think you should figure your question first. Buy the rig not the story - personal inspection and test drive is worth way more to me than a ton of salesmanship talk no matter who they are.
