Count me in...and I need to join ONSC!

I should be able to make this one. I'm going to reccomend we get a group campsite. That way we can bring the UC canopy and inclosure and have a place to hang out if the weather is bad or balls cold.

Anyone know how much a group campsite is?

Marshall group camp is $40 a night, and can handle up to 50 per site. I will go ahead and get Friday & Saturday night setup this week.

Hmmm. You must still remember how cold it was during N meets S part 1. It was in the teens when we woke up Sat. morning and sleeted off and on during the ride.

Last winter it was in the teens and the Rymers and I were the only ones camping. But the days were beeyootiful and pleasant temps. I brought my circus tent and two electric heaters and was comfortable in the night. And Stacy and Eric built a huge breakfast fire for starting the day.

My question here is: Does the group camp have electricity? Water? Hot showers? If not then Arrowhead might make more sense. It has all that plus double campsites near the lodge (bath house) which would serve for the UC pavilion. And the lodge also has a nice wrap-around porch for sitting out wet weather.
Just my $0.02.

Scrounging Up Folks

I'm in and I'll see who else I can scrounge up...

Speaking of scrounging up...I'd love to attend but is this only for TLCA members (which I am not)? Let me know and I'm there!

Doug

I'm There

This is not a TLCA Event and Chase-Dog we hope you can make it out, your are more than welcome to attend.

Great. Then add me to the list. I'm there. I've been to Badin Lake/Arrowhead a few times and loved it. So did my dog. Though she couldn't figure out what those two humans on the shore of the lake were doing. I'll give you a hint.....ba*ls slapping on a$$. :censor: Yep, right there in the open.

Good questions. I don't know. I hoping someone will chime in with an answer. I think having the showers is nice. Truthfully we can put the canopy anywhere. It's not that big. I just thought it would be nice to have everyone in one spot.

Bill it looks like it has everything. Except exectricity. We can always bring the UC generator.

Badin Group Camp was developed for use by clubs, families and other groups. The camp includes three separate areas each with tables, grills and tent pads. Two toilet facilities , water spigots and showers are centrally located to serve all three sites. A $40.00 fee is charged per site per night. Reservations must be made prior to camping in this area. Each site has a 15-35 person capacity. To make reservations call 877-444-6777 (toll free); TDD 877-833-6777; or visit the website at www.reserveUSA.com.

yeah boy that was some good stuff there. yeah I think it was in the teens. We were either really brave or just plain crazy. Probably a little of both. I'd love to attend but it'll probably be a last minute thing and then roll down with Jason and Steve. I had a blast last year meeting all the new folks. I am still trying to get that :censor: video put together too. (Sorry Logan)

Looks like my schedule just got free'd up for that weekend! What do I need to do if I want to go? Who do I pay? Where do I register? Is there a schedule of events? I would like to stay with the group. Just let me know what my next step is.

Anybody want to convoy from the MB area?

That oughta work. We can get along without 'lectricty. You didn't mention fire rings but if they're not there we'll manage. It will be worth it to have everyone together. Some new victims for my snoring:cool: By the way my lady says it never wakes her up. I think somebody's pulling my leg.

Never wakes her up? She probably never gets to sleep in the first place! :grinpimp:

Wish I could make it... I have a 10 yr old nephew that lives in Raleigh and named my 40 when I got it... one of these years I'll get up there and take him out. Have to be in the 100 though. That's a long ride in a 40.

Rookie 55

Hey guys,

I'd like to sign up for North Meets South. How do I do it? I've got a mostly stock 55 with a mild lift (32's) and would love to bring it out. I'm from Charleston. What's the program - get there Friday, wheel Sat. and Sun.?

Thanks,

Stu

I purchased the 55 about a year ago from GA. I finally got it out of the garage and put some time into it. I've had lots of LC's over the years, but just recently got back into it. Just finishing some maintenance, a header, and a lift this week. I'm looking forward to my first trailride! Where will we camp? In tents?
