hi guys, this is josh (anthracite 4runner). I had a blast. thanks for letting us participate. it was definitely good to tag along with some experienced guys on my first wheelin trip.

First off, I would like to thank everyone that was able to make it out, we had a great group and it seemed as if everyone had a good time. We couldn't have asked for better weather for an event such as this so late in the year, which made the Saturday ride that much more enjoyable. Even due to the trail closures, we were able to re-route so that everyone was able to enjoy the ride even those with minimal experience and vehicle modifications.

We started out Saturday morning running Wolfs Den to Slab Pile, however due to the early morning and poor trail navigation (sorry guys) we re-routed taking Dutch John over to Sawmill and then taking Rocky Mount over Kodak Rock and then out to the main road to eat lunch and re-group, letting those less modified vehicles or those who wished to see Daniel before making their first attempt at it ride in any of the vehicles that had open seats. We finished the day running Daniel and had a very safe and enjoyable trail ride with no breakdowns and very little trail carnage....

Saturday night was an enjoyable night around the campfire discussing future trail rides and also upcoming family events for the club. We finished the night with a Raffle which was provided by Upstate Cruisers with Bill providing an entertaining descriptiong of each item. Items included a Camo Toyota Hat, ARB D-Ring, and a ARB Tree-Saver strap. Joe (Little_joe) won the ARB Tree Saver, Brad won the ARB D-Ring, and Barry Mccoin (Rutbeer) won the Camo Toyota Hat.

I would like to also thank Jerry for his time in taking numerous photos for the club and those which he has provided to us, we will have the remainder available to us in the next few days, and Upstate Cruisers for their support in not only the Raffle but also the arrangements as well.

Look forward to the Part V(Fall) and Part VI(Spring).....

Greg

Josh, glad you enjoyed the ride. Hope you can make it out to many more in the future. There's always room in at least one of the vehicles we have out on the trails.

Hey guys, thanks for letting me hang with you by the camp fire. It was nice to finally meet some of you. Thanks to UC for the D-ring shackle. Maybe next time I will be able to join in on the trail run.

there are pics from MTBcoach in the UC thread. Some good shots in there.

It was nice meeting all of you and who could've asked for better weather. Greg, thanks for the ride over Daniel. Next time, I'll have to do it with my 80. Looking forward to future trail rides and joining ONSC in '08.

John
