But that's just part of the unknown variables that cullowhee has to offer that makes the place so awesome. You gotta be ready for anything.

So, how difficult is the stuff at Cullowhee? Are there any minimum requirements?

I've never been, but have been told on here it's just riding old forest roads. If you have a stock 4wd I think you're ok. It's mainly about the scenery and isolation.

pretty much the case for most of Cullowhee......... it is def. the remoteness that is the alure of this ride and the spectacular scenery. If you got a landcruiser you can do this ride! So come out and join us!!!

That is kinda what I thought. My taco is still stock 4x4 with an LSD in the rear, the only thing that concerns me are the tires, especially if it is wet. We just had to replace my wife's car due to an accident and I just stumbled on an awesome deal on some Tundra wheels so I doubt tires will be happening anytime soon.

There should be plenty of folks there to help out though.

Cool, out of curiosity are you planning to bring your wife and little one? My son is almost two, this would be his first trip of this sort and althought my wife loves camping I am not sure she will want to ride around in the woods for two days. Hopefully I can talk her into going since I will already be traveling on business most of the week.

Has anyone decided on the details for the golf tourney the weekend of Nov. 4th (when, where, what format, etc.)?

I really hated to miss last year and plan on attending this year!

I'm pretty sure Alan JP and I will figure that out by Sunday. I was thinking Furman to play since it is central. But a mountain course might be fun also.

But If we did something central we could still do the meeting at the Cuban restaurant that evening. What ever we do we need to do something economical on greens fees.

Cool, I'll stay tuned. Hopefully the tee time won't be too early to allow for out of towners commute times.

Economical is good. Mountainous is good. Cuban food is good. :D

Yeah I think that tee times would be around lunch or after. A little warmer. Gives us about 5 to 6 hrs to get everyone through and over to the restaurant. I should have some good prizes for this.
