i am mounting the roof rack as we speak, loading the tractor tires in the back, changing out the hubs, giving it a quick once over, packing some food and sleeping bags. tomorrow morning the weekend begins.
passenger seat taken
poor old Cruiser is staying home, his hips just ain't up to it.

what is the expectation for the trails?
first skidders yesterday, DAMN they come out early down here.
how far to fuel or good idea to pack a jerry or two?

The closest place for diesel is Parry Sound I believe. There is gas in Ardbeg, but you pay for it big time. You may want a jerry can to be on the safe side, but you should be ok for fuel. I usually have atleast a 1/4 tank left at the end of weekend in my 62 with the 3FE. This nice weather is all it takes to get the bugs out around here. Make sure you pack some bug spray just incase.
Dave

Not long now

Hey guys,

Sorry I have been M.I.A for awhile - on the Left Coast for Easter and I am paying for it now trying to catch up on work before the weekend away.

I am going to convoy up with Jerome and Matt (see you at the meetin' spot at 10ish). Was going to go up tonight and stay at the cabin but it is our Ultimate Frisbee awards night tonight and we are the champs in our division - with tomorrow off (cough, cough) probably gonna put back a few pints - so scratch that idea.

Really looking forward to the weekend.

j.

See you guys at the site

Dave / Brad

I will not be able to meet you guys in the morning.

I have a slight detour on the way to Orono, Ontario. up by Lindsay.

I need to be there for 9:00am.

Found a very small trailer that I have been wanting for a couple years now, couldn't pass it up.

I should be in the area around 2:00pm or 3:00pm I hope.

Everyone have a safe trip.

Dave

lost rear tire on drive home

WHAT???!?!?!??!?!??!

Dude, that's almost a double TEQ award...:hillbilly:

I hope it was one of the ones on the roof, not on the axle...

Hey guys sorry I missed it. I just couldn't get the cruiser back on the road in time. I was planning on coming up Friday night in my DD and riding with Dave L until I got a call from Brad telling me how bad the road in to camp was. Sounds like you did a ton of wheeling, can't wait to see some pics. Sorry I missed out on meeting Bruce and Mike, hopefully you guys can make it back down to wheel with us again.
Dave

well, it was a rear left tire. i heard a hell of a racket and the speedo went nuts, i thought i broke the rear diff since i did bag on the old girl pretty hard. i got out, took a look at the rear end and saw nothing jumping out at me. then it dawned on me that the tire was sitting weird. it was outside the axle but still under the rear wheelwell. i start laughing, unhooked the jackall, lifted the back up, stuck the tire back on, remove 2 nuts from the spare, and two from the other back wheel, bolted it back on and drove home, no shimmy, no noise, all was well. it was almost a perfect ending to an eventful weekend... till i backed into my owned flat deck and discovered there had been body work before in the rear quarter.

like i said, a perfect weekend, one to remember for years to come.

<sometimes i think you guys might think i make my stories up... not a chance. life., for me, is too interesting to make things up>

WHAT???!?!?!??!?!??!
