my e/locker hubs had been abused back in Calgary and needed to be locked manually... which i forgot ... which left me embarassed...

Carnage report

Hey guys,

Sorry no pics from me yet. I will get them going soon - been working on some more pressing issues...

Seems somewhere between Ardbeg and Home I cracked one of my power steering hard lines (likely smashing the front end into the first washout and trying to get out). It was the only original one remaining I had the others rebuilt last fall - this one seemed good at the time so I left it... I know, I know... but it saved me a bit of cash at the time.

Anyways, fast forward to Sunday I literally have a straight run all the way down the Bunny Trail, 400, 401, 427 to my place so very little turning and with the tunes cranked up didn't hear/ feel anything. Got off the HWY and went to turn right and felt a tight - off go the tunes and I hear the whine of the pump - GREAT! Pull over check the reservoir.... wonderful. I am like 2 mins from home so I limp it in and get underneath - sure enough I find the culprit - the one I didn't replace - lesson learned, why is it always the hard way?

Have the new hose - should be installed tomorrow.

Hindsight, probably good it didn't happen in the middle of BFN Ardbeg.

You don't have a smog pump on that puppy do you? I've heard that the P/S leaking on the smog pump causes the smog pump to die, and sieze, being a real PITA when that goes.... (not sure if yours is CDN, or if the CDN ones have smog pumps?) - it doesn't go naka naka naka so I don't know much about it!...

Wayne, Most of mikes mobile uploads didn't work, but I do have a link to where the few went... let me dig it up.

Mike got some good video as well - I'm bugging him to post it, but I think he is too busy daydreaming about being on the trail, and about getting set up for the next run!!

Duct Tape

Hey,Guys

GGGREAT TRIP!

As for the Duct tape. It is holding on the Apron to Cowl filled panel.

When I had the Windshield replaced the guys must have broke the grommets off or lost them.

Anita was driving down the 401 when it decided it wanted to let go, haven't had time to order new grommets.

Hopefully I will have the BJ42 out for the next run.
