I thought some of you may like seeing these pics. My wife's grandfather is selling off his farming equipment. Not sure how old this is but it is heavy as heck!

So since yesterday, after changing the oil in my cruiser (probably unrelated), the starter seems to be having an issue? It cranks up fine but it sounds like the starter is still engaging after it starts? It kind of sounds like a grinding noise. I have a video but can’t seem to upload it here and the video I uploaded to Imgur doesn’t have sound 😑. I’m just looking for some help to diagnose the issue without taking it into a shop if I can. A starter swap seems fairly straight forward just time consuming since it’s under the intake manifold. I’d get the remanufactured Denso starter from Toyota if it really is the starter. If anyone here has experienced this or would be willing to take a look I’d really appreciate it!

^^ That happens when the starter solenoid sticks. Starter replacement is in your future.

Will it do any damage to start the truck with that occurring?

Well one of the Envirocoolers finally crapped out, glad I have a back up.

I was a little bummed at first, but then I remembered some guys had some issues with these when we first bought them. Found the problem…solved. #EnviroCoolerFuseMod

Wish I had bought two but mine is still going strong.

Forgive me if this is already posted somewhere but how much fluid typically goes into the front/rear differentials and transfer case? I can’t seem to find a figure anywhere online. Thanks y’all!

From the FSM for a 2000 TLC. Hope this helps. Typically, I don’t measure. I just fill until I can feel it similar to the diagram shown.

Who, in the lifted 80, is @ Skate Palace in Spartanburg right meow?

Hey y’all, so I got the starter replaced in my 99’ cruiser. It was a pain but with the help of a buddy we got it done. Cranks up like new again. While we had the intake manifold off we replaced several gaskets that were definitely in need of replacement… intake manifold gasket, throttle body gasket, and the injector nozzle gaskets. After we got it all back together I had a fuel leak. We identified fuel pooling around some of the injectors so we pulled them all out to inspect the gaskets. One was torn and two were squished (gaskets that insert into the fuel rails). I just finished replacing those bad gaskets and confirmed no fuel pooling around the injectors. Awesome! But what is not so awesome is that I’m still leaking fuel… it’s dripping right off the frame behind the driver’s side bumper. I can’t see any obvious wet spots when looking down into the engine bay and kind of am at a loss for where it might be coming from. I’m pretty confident all fuel lines were reattached correctly per before pictures I took prior to beginning the starter job. This guy is my daily driver and I’m having to steal my wife’s car for work leaving her stranded with the kids. I was curious if anyone local (Greer or Taylor’s) would feel confident helping me diagnose this problem and get it remedied possibly tomorrow afternoon? I know it’s short notice and all, but time is really of the essence. Thanks y’all!
