Cleaning out the workshop area and found this...
Any old school UC'ers recall what's going on here? ;)

2008 OTMT at Upper Tellico OHV, coming down Guardrail trail (next to Helicopter Pad) and popped the rear quarter window on that tree on the passenger side. Check out that fancy trasharoo ;)

I didn't replace the glass right away and used a piece of black acrylic [post above] that I cut to shape, formed in the oven to match the curve and then FIPG'd in place - truly a Clemson Mafia style fix.

Was just posting if that was sunroof glass, but now I see the scale better (was thinking it was rectangular and laid out further from the camera). Nice repair.

It looked pretty ghetto for a while (Aug 2008 - Feb 2011). I didn't even cover the whole corner, just the necessary opening to keep the elements out.

Old potato camera pics of the replacement process...I think that glass was around $275 😬

Anyone know 3D printing? Would like to get started as a family thing. Try to teach the girls (and me) a little practical application of measuring and creation. Thought I would ask here before attempting anything else.

you might want to have a discussion with @BenCC . He’s making some really cool stuff.

Buy a family printer like Prusa MK3S and starts from small models downloaded from GrabCAD or Thingiverse.

I’m running behind but anyone know the goods on Michael LaPierre running for US Senate? He’s from Pickens.

Surprised Grand Daughter with her first Land Cruiser last evening! Found on ONSC For Sale thread by @mwalls54 and big thanks to @Comet and his friend Jay that lives in Greer to Mudship it from VA this past weekend to the Upstate. Got a big kiss and hug.....

For getting yourself off the trail, fine. For continued use, nah. It will affect the rear axle alignment and tire wear in the long run. If you want to fix it quick, bash the other side on the boulder at the Wendy's parking lot.

You could probably drive with it short term, it will affect your tire wear... or you could UPGRADE!!!

Find a rock and hit the other side and even them up! But worse case, yeah, your alignment is off and tire wear will be it.
