I know I have said this before but since I have been driving my 40, I get people coming up to me to check it out all the time. Many of them say "nice Jeep." Well, I can't just say "Thanks" and it kills my wife. I say, "it's not a Jeep, it's a Toyota Land Cruiser, but thanks". :bang: So... This weekend while all of you guys were having fun up at GSMTR, I was driving around the Upstate with the top and doors off the 40. It was a blast and a great weekend for it! Of course, I didn't see another 40 all weekend but I passed several Heeps with the tops and doors off. They all waived like they saw a long lost friend from High School. OK, I'm exaggerating a little but it was like riding a motorcycle when all riders do the left arm waive to other riders. Well, my wife noticed me not waiving back and asked why... Then as I grinned, she said.. "it's because they are in Heeps and you are not, isn't it." I said, "Well yes, and...???" ;)

So, reluctantly, I started waiving back but explained to her that they were waiving because they felt like we had something in common... You know... Top and dors off on a beautiful day. I told her that Mopeds and Harleys have something in common, too but when a dude on a moped waives at a dude on a Harley, the Harley driver doesn't waive back... :flipoff2:

The dog was loving it. She's a camera hog too.

I took a new position at work. Money should be much better but I have to work 6pm to 6am. If everything goes smoothly those pics will be of my wife and kids in a 40 of our own in 3-5 years.;)

She's a bird dog mix. About the size of a small lab. She loves to ride!

Check out my 10 minute red neck tailgate!

Anyone headed up near Cary, NC anytime soon? I found a set of tires but I'm not headed that far north for awhile.

Talked with Kane yesterday. He is getting settled in Germany seen tons of 110s but only one LC. He said he will post some updates on Mud once he gets settled.

Anyone headed to LKQ this weekend? It's 1/2 price this weekend. If you are going please let me know. I would like some info/pics of a few vehicles current condition so I can decide on making the trip.

I know it's not an LC so I don't want to hear any boo hoos. But seeing this kind of stuf f for two years is going to make me miss mine all that much more.

I'm sure you'll spot an LC over there eventually. The author of "The Land Cruiser Legend" was from Germany.
Cheer up man, you're in the land of beer of chocolate!

I'm headed over to LKQ on 25 now if anyone wants to come search with me. It's a 1/2 price weekend.

Got my oldest son riding the minibike. Middle son tried it and pulled a superman over the handlebars. Hit a stump.

Yeah, actually my favorite of all this year's concepts and that's the same "Razor" grille we put on ours. I tried talking Kitty into making Bertha an "open air" rig. Not going to happen.

That truck is beautiful, I am with you Rick, best of this year's crop.

I posted over in the 80 section, but Teddy informed me about the Upstate group. I no idea this section even existed.
I'm just a newb with an 80 saying hi.
