I am thinking of getting pet rabbits for the kids and some chickens (hens only) for myself. Anyone in the club currently have either or have had them int he past?

Also does anyone else have a problem using the iphone app for MUD? COmes up with an error message on almost every thread I pull up in the UC section???

The app works for me.

We have been adopted by 14 of our neighbors chickens. We feed them every morning and I'm building a coop to get our own soon. Be sure your kids can handle losing birds. We have lost two lately. Otherwise we love the birds. They are hilarious.

I have a cousin in TN that used to keep all sorts of small critters like hens and rabbits. It increases the likelihood of predators on your property if they stay outside. Despite the fact that they owned dogs too, they had foxes and coyotes start picking off the fowl. The upside was that the guinea hens killed the flea and tick population in the yard.

What ca think the rabbits and chickens are for, and the slaughter is a good education for young ones teaches them where meat comes from. Just my .02 but some of my earliest memories are of dispatching domestic rabbits for dinner, that and any thing else we could scrounge in the Tennessee hills. :)

I love rabbit... I haven't had any in a long time, though...

I want a telescoping ladder. Anybody have one or recommend a good brand?

I know but with the attic in the new house not having a pull down and access being upstairs, I wanted something I could store in a closet. I have 8' ceilings and the shortest I've seen is 10.5'.

Werner is the main manufacturer of ladders, go to there web site and they have a ladder type that fits in a closet, something like a 22"x22" opening.

No pics, but I'm preparing the site for concrete to install lift. Should pour this week.

Picked up the smittybuit bumper yesterday. One small dent on one end, missing a plastic end cap on the other and some surface rust. My co worker that works in the same job as me has a sandblaster I just got to get some media and beer! On a side note the mud member I got the bumper from had an awesome shop! In it he had a 4bt Isuzu engine and h55 waiting to be installed. He even had a lift in the garage!

I will too, soon !!!

Yeah I have no garage. Hoping one day to build one though.

My friend, Mark, is in this Superbowl competition for a Doritos ad. If you are on FB, please give him a vote. Its a funny ad too. I think all five finalists get to go to the bowl game and the 2 winners will be announced live. One ad is chosen by the Doritos team and the other is by peoples choice vote on FB.

"Goat 4 Sale"

PS, that really is what the goat sounds like.
