Can’t wait to get mine swapped in….living at 6500’ I NEED that power!FYI, I’ve installed one of the 5 into our 60 with 500000 miles to replace a 13Bt that my great friend @orangefj45 installed 20 years ago. The thing is a beast. You put it in 5th gear and can tow a train climbing the sierras. I’m getting 25 mpg on the highway. Checked the oil after 2500 miles and it looks like olive oil. Short write up in MUD. Thank you @AlbertoSD for setting this up.

The information I have is that the supplier did not have any decent motors and is looking for more. It is worth the effort to chase it because these have about 100k miles and run like new. I did not service the IP nor injectors which I usually do with used engines.Same. Have a 1980 BJ40 with a blown head gasket. B Parts are so hard to find that I’m thinking of just swaping the motor. Heard this could be a direct bolt in.
@AlbertoSD you still have the contact to bring these in? If so can you message me the details.
Or if any is you have a recommendation for me to go a different direction (diesel motor) please share. I’m in Southern California

I put 30k miles on it and absolutely no problems. The first year was running it on 2/3 throttle max because of linkage issues and did not even notice it.

I did not install it. My good friend Georg @orangefj45 did the engine installation and I can’t recall if there was an issue with the transmission insulator.
