I am now! Thanks. Sounds like it will go into the mega no problem and, we'll I already have the mega 15bt.

Go pickup two, drop one with me in SLC :D

Kurt, I think you may know Erik as he is local to you. He is installing one in his bj74.

Hmmm, not sure I recognize the name. We've got a pretty good sized 7x owners group here in Utah and I meet new ones regularly.

What’s the latest on these motors? Are any already in the states?
Just to respond here and so others know I am checking this, I sent you a text with info over the weekend.

We can bring more in, though we don't have 4 people ready to get them.

Thank you, Morgan!

Thanks Alberto…looking forward to getting this motor into my garage. Working on shipping logistics…also considering a fly in drive out approach.

Highly interested here. Would love to chat, especially if I can get a video of the one I’d buy running with compression numbers. Thanks!

FYI, I’ve installed one of the 5 into our 60 with 500000 miles to replace a 13Bt that my great friend @orangefj45 installed 20 years ago. The thing is a beast. You put it in 5th gear and can tow a train climbing the sierras. I’m getting 25 mpg on the highway. Checked the oil after 2500 miles and it looks like olive oil. Short write up in MUD. Thank you @AlbertoSD for setting this up.

Nice work, Ofer. 👍

Hahaha. Thanks Onur. Coming from you it’s really a compliment. I’m flattered. 🙏

And… it was really great seeing you yesterday. You have an amazing shop.

Same. Have a 1980 BJ40 with a blown head gasket. B Parts are so hard to find that I’m thinking of just swaping the motor. Heard this could be a direct bolt in.

@AlbertoSD you still have the contact to bring these in? If so can you message me the details.
Or if any is you have a recommendation for me to go a different direction (diesel motor) please share. I’m in Southern California

The information I have is that the supplier did not have any decent motors and is looking for more. It is worth the effort to chase it because these have about 100k miles and run like new. I did not service the IP nor injectors which I usually do with used engines.

I put 30k miles on it and absolutely no problems. The first year was running it on 2/3 throttle max because of linkage issues and did not even notice it. 🤷

So glad I snagged one of these up!

Thats for the feedback. I am on the hunt for the same set-up you have on "Dijon". mine is the same color too. was the 13Bt and H55 a straight bolt in to the existing motor and trans mounts? Hoping..

I did not install it. My good friend Georg @orangefj45 did the engine installation and I can’t recall if there was an issue with the transmission insulator. Maybe he can chime in.

I did a 1HDT/h55 in another 40 and we did a custom cross member and modified the transmission hump.

By the way, I have a set of most of the parts for the 15BFT conversion (oil pan, etc..) if anyone interested. I ordered 4 sets for the 4 engines imported, but only 3 sets were used.
