Yeah, for tire installers, it's more about the tire width vs. the wheel width than the height of the tire. Most places won't put a 12.5 wide tire on a 7" rim, but they will on an 8" or wider. If the 37's are 12.50's and the rim is an 8" wide rim, they should do it. Now.....they may not want to guarantee balancing on a tire that big, but that's a different story.

Exactly... Me and another at my shop used to do this for all the local wheelers because most places would turn them down.

It is also a lot tougher to do so many shops just won't put the extra effort into doing it right.

We did them all by hand. Toughest one was some 46" xmls on a super duty for a GA mud member.

There’s lots of fun to be had at Dave’s today! Every once in awhile Rafael and Shaun even let Dave help.

One for the hall of shame. Hub turns nicely, but the rotor is sitting still. Lathed down by the pads until it separated from the hub.

Did some Duramax wrenching this past week. Changed front and rear diff fluid plus engine oil (yeah..baller changed engine oil, lol!). Also, flushed brake fluid. Ashamed to admit its the first time I’ve done it and I’ve owned this truck for 12ish years (90k miles). It was like engine oil...amazing how much firmer my peddle is.

I used the harbor freight bleeder, worked great!

Will be changing the trans and tcase fluid this week once my 4 gallons of transynd gets delivered.

Another installment of WTF wrenching.

Complaint : "It feels funny when I turn"

Anytime!! let me know if you need something else.

Yep. Designed for use with Factory pan hard. Bracket helps recenter axle and get panhard closer to parallel to ground like a stock setup would be.

I need to pull caster numbers again with plates but I had become less thrilled with the highway wandering and constant correction inputs needed. It became much more noticeable after taking a break from DDing the 80 and getting back behind the wheel for some long drives.

Let us know how much difference the bracket makes. Interested in maybe purchasing.

will do. I believe @fourtrax has had one installed for a good while now. Not sure how much he’s been allowed to drive his own truck  but probably has some good feedback.

It is one of the top 10 mods. True that, Not much driving time but, it works well. Had been waiting for someone make one since I got the cruiser.

Sorta wrenching...started doing a paint correction on my Duramax. It's been almost 4 years since I did more then a wash and quick wax...it was way past time. Oxidation, especially on the hood was pretty bad.

This section that I taped off was;
- Meguiars Ultimate Compound on orange pad
- Meguiars Ultimate Polish on green pad
- CarPro Essence on black pad
- CarPro Reload (poor man's ceramic coating)

Edit: also used a nano skin sponge in place of clay bar. It was much easier and quicker but I feel like clay removed more.

Now just need to do the rest of the truck!
