Another example of a Toyota with an unintended acceleration.

Next time, I'm sure he'll hit the brake instead of the gas.

Thanks everyone for your help today getting BDH to its temp parking spot. The fam had an awesome time. And again thank you for all the help.

Only a little damage to the front plastic bumperette. It was a lot more dramatic at the time...

"GO*&&^%IT!!! I SAID BRAKE, NOT GAS!!!!!"

That little cedar tree will never be the same.

On another note, does anybody have a recommendation for a bumper/winch combination? I finally have an excuse to upgrade! I'm thinking either Demello or Shrockworks for the bumper, just because I like the way they look more than I like the ARB.

The Shrockworks is a heck of a nice bumper!

Sorry I didn't make it out guys. I had the intention of coming but ended up crashing at Lauren's place the night before without a phone charger. Then, because I wasn't driving mine out there and would have been late, I had no way to get on the trail so I figured it'd be best to stay home.

On a side note, I did get my wheel bearings adjusted, tires rotated, and the lawn mowed all in Saturday. So all wasn't lost.

Looks like you guys had fun! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the pictures.

Here is a list.

If you are not going to wheel it much your suspension will be ok however any good steel bumper will be 100-150 pounds plus the weight of the winch so your front will settle about an inch or so.

I have my old plastic bumper and you are welcome to any of the parts from it until you decide on your new front bumper. I can bring it up with me when we work on my lexus.

Just wanted to take a second to thank everyone for coming out to the Mike Sears Memorial Tuttle Creek Fall Run event. I never did a headcount, but I was estimating that we had about 20 rigs participate, and being able to "cone" off the campsite, the kids were free to play all weekend.

This was the largest crowd we have had in some time, and it would not have been possible without everyone's support.

Special thanks go out to Rob and Peggy for all that they do for the club and this event, including making all the chili and BBQ for the dinners. That was some of the best chili I have ever had.

Also, thanks to Mike for setting us up with the Royals game on the big screen by the campfire! Camping in style!

Cheers,

Many Thanks from Rachael and I as well! It was great getting her out there, and now she's hooked too (let her drive there at the end a little)!

Looking forward to SMORR next year with our little guy with us as well (Thinking we can swing camping with a 1 year old....).

Proof again that the people make this club and these events!!

I had a great time too! My hat's off to everyone that made it such a fun weekend. Wheeled some old trails and made some new friends. I'd say that Peggy and Rob's chili deserves first place!

That's Rob Taggert who drove his 45 from California to Iowa. I met him at Tall Corn several years ago.

Finally back in front of a computer. We wanted to send a sincere Thank You to all for welcoming us, well, putting up with me and taking Mitch under your wings, at the ORV event in-spite of the fact we were in a Rover. It was our first time wheeling and your mentoring/monitoring kept us out of trouble and in one piece. Mitch has been talking non-stop about his experiences and become a hero at school after showing all the pics and relaying the tales-of-the-trails. The event has motivated many thoughts already about building a dedicated trail rig and we certainly have plans to become a more active participant in your club. Y'all have a great family at TAC which I believe to be unique for clubs in today's world. Dave

Sorry I missed you Jess! (we didn't make it up until about 2 pm on Saturday). How'd the cruiser do?

Our first is only 5 months old now, so we got a sitter for the day (grandpa), but I plan to bring him and the wife out next year to SMORR.
