Trekboxx is opening the doors with a special group buy for ih8mud members, since this is where it all started. Check out the website at www.trekboxx.com to see the models and specs. For every 5 systems ordered, everyone who orders will get $50 off either the System Alpha or System Bravo base systems up to $200. Take an additional $25 off all add-ons ordered. Clear as mud? Example- we get 20 orders total, and you order a System Alpha with the Wing Kit, Cargo Barrier, Divider, and Fridge Barrier/Shelf Kit. Your total discount would be $300. We’ll see how it goes, but I’ll probably cap this at 20 systems.

Group buy will end and payment in full will be due July 15th. From then, the systems will take approximately 4-6 weeks to ship. If you have a big trip coming up and need it sooner, let me know. I have a few systems already in different stages of production. I’ve worked very hard to secure aggressive shipping prices- $90-$240 depending on where you live. This is for the continental US only. North American customers outside the US please contact me, hopefully we can work something out.

Just a heads up on a few things. First- yes, you have to put the system together. It will arrive packed flat. It will be like putting together Ikea furniture, only it will be quality! It’s hard for me to guess install time because I’ve done it quite a few times, but I’d put aside a whole afternoon and have a helper handy here and there. If you are thinking of adding our footman loop tie-down system or any other, it’s much easier to do it during assembly. Also, please be patient as I have a full time job and a family, and may not be able to respond within milliseconds to any questions. You can always call me at (925) 270-1657, but if I’m working I may not be able to answer. An email might actually get a faster response, depending on where I am.

If you have any inkling of getting one of these systems, now is the time. The prices will surely never be this low again! Looking forward to working with you guys.

edit- when sending your request, please indicate which system, color, which add-ons, and Fridge Barrier size for System Alpha. Specs are on the website for the different sizes. You need to know which fridge/size you'll be using. The shorter the fridge/Fridge Barrier, the more space you'll have on the shelf above. The only loss is some extra space in front of the fridge within the slide to toss odds and ends.

David

The List:
1. VidereStudios - System Alpha, gray, all the add-ons, X-tall Fridge Barrier
2. Grinder - System Alpha, tan, all the add-ons, short Fridge Barrier, Fridge tie-downs (4), Footman loops (12), Webbing hooks (8), large and small cargo nets
3. TexasD90 - System Alpha, gray, all the add-ons, X-tall Fridge Barrier
4. paulbgardner - System Alpha, gray, all the add-ons, X-tall Fridge Barrier
5. AaronCoady - System Alpha, tan, all the add-ons, Medium Fridge Barrier
6. JRidge - System Bravo, tan, Wing Kit
7. "Jack" - System Alpha, tan, all the add-ons, X-Tall Fridge Barrier, special request for tan cages

Edit- Group buy is now over (7-15-14), but I'll keep the buy open for any Bravo systems through the weekend...

Pricing?

Are you only offering the Alpha and Bravo? I would be possibly interested in a single drawer with a platform extension on the other side.

Pricing for all of the products is available on the website. Unfortunately, I don't have a single drawer model yet- but it is on the to-do list, as long as there is enough interest:)

David,
Very nice design details: Nice work! It takes a ton of effort to get a new biz off the ground (as you know :))...wish you all the best and much success! If I was in the market for drawers I'd give serious thought to your's.

Nice work David. I know how much effort it takes to do the R&D on a product and bring it to the masses here on ih8mud. My own endeavor failed, but it awesome to see some succeed and happen. Congrats!

Anyway, I would like to sign up for the group buy. Consider me in for one of the System Alpha's with all the fixin's. In gray please.

Also, what electrical connections do you have on the left vertical wing there? What is the lower black circular object?

Our first Mud customer! Thanks!

The switches on the left are for LED lights I added and power. The circular object is a dual USB port. There are also 2 12v ports on the inside of the box in the fridge area. I'm trying to work out some electrical kits, but that will be on the back burner for now. You can go to otrattw.com to order the switches. They're very cool!

Thanks Dan!

David, did you integrate the electrical connection for the fridge into the box somehow? Would love to see pictures of that.

Congrats on bringing these systems to market, they are far and away the best design out there!

Probably not the best business plan for him to start giving away design ideas in a new thread. He is trying to get a business off the ground in a tough market. There was clearly a lot of time and effort put in to designing this system.

Coming to 100s in the Hills with a TrekboxX system and letting everyone get hands on it would be a great way to promote the product though. ;)

Thanks. The fridge is wired using the stock cord with the end replaced with a powerpole connector. It's then hardwired to an aux fuse box in the pass side compartment. I use a length of shock cord to keep the cord out of harms way. Works great!

I'd love to make 100's in the hills. Don't know about this year though. We are in the process of moving, starting this biz, taking care of our 1 year old, and my wife is due in Nov. Other that that we're bored. ;)

@patyflyer - Not trying to have him give away his secrets at all, sorry if it came across that way!

@TrekboxX - thanks for the info. This is another item that a common guy like myself didn't think of when building a cargo box and fridge setup. All these little hiccups and problems that one runs into when trying to design and build their own is a big reason that your setup is so nice! I grossly underestimated the time money and energy it would take to build my own.

Thanks. Yeah, I had the same issue. I consider myself pretty darn handy, and I'm glad I built my own because I got something better for me than what was available, but it was neither inexpensive nor timely!

Those look awesome, makes me wish that I didn't already have an Outback RDRF. Do you take trade-ins. Lol.

Nice looking product and good luck with the venture.

Every time I try to open the website, it closes and tells me HTTP 404 Not Fond

Works here.

Very nice job TrekboxX.

If I were in the market, these would definitely be high on the list. Great quality.

Works here too (iMac, iPad & Safari...Chrome works too)

Congrats on finally bringing this too market. I've watched the whole thing and know how much time, effort, money, and worry you've put into this. They look great! Now all I've got too do is buy a rig so I have an excuse to buy this...
