I've built another vehicle in the past with custom bumpers, winch, and lockers, but those items cost a LOT and rarely get used.
A well-thought out drawer system plus a fridge/freezer is much more practical and use-able everyday whether camping or not (costco runs!)

My goal is to pack and organize everything for minimalist off-grid camping for a family of 5, without having to resort to a roof top rack.
We do this now, but getting to that one buried item causes an avalanche of gear.
I need quick access to food, camera equipment, cooking gear, tools, and water jugs.
This system looks like it will fit the bill perfectly.

Hopefully you are still selling these in 3-4 months.
I'm in the market for a drawer system, but won't be able to pull the trigger until late summer/fall.

Anyone know TexasD90? Maybe you could send him a text... I've been trying to get a system out to him to show at 100's in the Hills, but he's been a bit MIA... Hope all is well.

Agreed, however one single use of bumpers, sliders or a winch when you absolutely need it often save you more money in repairs than if you didn't have them in place at the time. I've only used my own winch one single time. When I needed it, the local tow truck driver told me where I was (yes he came down to look at it) the only other choice I would have had to get it out was a helicopter. Yes, a helicopter. By using the winch just that one time, it probably paid for itself 10 times over having to avoid the expense of getting a chopper in to pull my truck out. Also with sliders in particular, one nasty rock can cost several grand in damage. I'm not here to say which mods are best because everyone uses their truck in different ways, and for some a very nice storage solution could be one of the best mods for them. I always laugh when people say "my ARB fridge is the best mod I have" when their truck already has $10k in mods! If they had to rebuild their truck from stock, I doubt a fridge would come before sliders or tires!

Ok, getting a bit carried away here. This is a group buy thread, for those interested in the product or questions about the product. It's not "drawer system vs bumper". I also contributed, but let's try to stay the course.

Thanks!
David

He guys. I've had a few inquiries about some different accessories and setups. Some of you may be holding off on the group buy because you may want a different configuration, etc. So I thought I'd give a bit of insight into what configurations and accessories I plan to offer in the near future.

I plan to make a removable "top" for the fridge slide area. It will work with the existing system and create a full flat deck for day-to-day chores. I also plan to offer a removable sleeping platform that will attach to the front of the existing system for those that like to sleep in their rigs or just need more hard deck storage. This is all assuming we have real demand, of course. It's too expensive to develop a new product to sell a handful. I've also had a few inquiries about a mirrored System Alpha- fridge slide on the right. I've put it on the left for many reasons, which I won't go into in this post. But, I'd take the time/money to make a mirrored system for those that want it given enough real demand. I'd also like to have a host of accessories such as dog beds, lighting and switch kits, and drawer inserts- dividers, foam, etc. Please feel free to pm me with your product requests- I will listen! But first we need to get some systems out there...

Let's get this going!

David

Please put me down as interested in a "mirrored" version of the System Alpha...fridge on the right. I already can't see out the back with the spare on the Slee swing out and I use the wider driver's 60 side as a sleeping platform.

You got it! On another note, the member who was going to take a system to Hundreds in the Hills is in a bit of a time crunch, so unfortunately I don't know if there will be a system there. Sorry guys!

I'm in for a full system. All the bells and whistles please

I didn't realize these came with bells and whistles! Is it a dinner bell and a safety whistle?

I was pretty sad to see the bottle opener no longer a standard attachment :)

If you can make this fit an 80 series then I am in. Also...any plans to incorporate a sub enclose as an option? (make one of the drawers a little shorter)

The 80 series is definitely in the plan. I haven't thought much about a sub enclosure, but I'm open to whatever you guys want!

Any idea how far out the 80 kit is from production? Hopefully most of your design can be reused and only the "fit kit" needs to be altered. Personally for me I would like your alpha kit with all the trimmings, plus a built in sub enclosure on whichever side makes most sense from a design/fitment perspective.

On the 80 series we have that useless little sub. Having a drawer system that incorporates an enclosure for a 10" sub behind the middle seats would be a very nice option, especially since no one on the market offers this now...custom builds are the only way to get this ATM.

Also I was wondering if your slide out mini drawer under the fridge is deep and wide enough to fit any of the partner steel stoves. Would be awesome if there was room.

I don't know time-wise, it's so hard to say. I thought the 100 series would be ready last year! But, of course, now that I have the production side of things fairly well sorted out, each new model will not take so long. I am pausing to see how the 100 series system sells before I drop a bunch of capital and time to make an 80 series system. If I only sell 5 or 10- fail. I may do an 80-series group buy interest thread... As far as the sub woofer thing, I'm not sure. I have no use for one whatsoever, but I wouldn't be designing it for me. If the majority want it- done!

Ok, guys, the group buy ends tomorrow. Anyone trying to decide whether to get in on it, let me know. We're currently only at 4, but you 4 will get at least the first tier discount- $50 off plus $25 for each add-on as a thank you for the faith that we'd have at least 5. As far as payment, we accept all major credit cards. I will need your phone #'s so I can call you guys tomorrow to confirm your order and go over pricing. Pm or email, or of course call me at (925) 270-1657.

Thanks!
David
