Is the orange ring a pre applied sealer? I see that it's soft to the touch in the picture.

Any news?

@DougRFJ62

We have spent several days and miles getting this suspension dialed in. If an angle exists in this suspensions geometry... AJ and I have changed, seen, felt and experienced it.

I can honestly say I've never rode in a 60 that handles as well as this one or had the ride comfort while being able to handle any terrain with this amount of comfort.

Sway bars are attached in these pics and a IG link for a quick "romp vid".

This tire and wheel combo is PERFECT for this conversion and I'm working with a custom wheel machinist to make a TRAIL TAILOR CUSTOMS version. Hope we can make a deal on this new product.

Have a great and safe weekend guys.

Jason

@TRAIL TAILOR HOLY CAT!!!! Susie and I are bias towards our 60, but "WOW" that is the best looking FJ60 we have seen and it is ours. :p:D:) The flex is out of this world and the ROMP Video is awesome. Definitely shows how the coil conversion can handle full corners at high speed. Absolutely phenomenal. We love everything the Trail Tailor Crew has put into our TLC. To show our appreciation,we have sent you and the Trail Tailor Crew a gift basket from Snake River Farms to arrive next week for a late night shop BBQ. Thanks J

congrats on the great looking truck, buyer and builder!
i hope mine turns out with similar stance when I’m done.

what backspace do the evo steelie wheels have Jason?

60 Series coil conversion with 60 axles update.

This kit is being finished up this week for the front and rear.

All frame brackets, properly ramped axle coil buckets to accept 80 coils, axle brackets for radius arms, panhards, rear upper and lower control arms with crossmember, front upper coil and shock towers, rear upper coil buckets with shock mounts and transmission crossmember adapter brackets.

We have had excellent results with the 80 axle swap and are finally caught up on all fabrication and orders. Total of 34 kits out in the world now in 5 countries.

We are also working with a few in Australia to get all of these kits through engineering for use on Australian roads. Currently we have 7 kits there already, but are for offroad use only.

Stay tuned for more to come on these and then the 60 axle to 40 frame is next, almost all brackets are finished up in CAD and we have the 40 donor in the shop now ready to go.

So does this mean that there will be a trail tailor reseller or agent in Australia to attain the engineering approval?

Engineering firm is in Asquith/Sydney that the guys are talking about using for the service. From my understanding from one of the people (he's had several things engineered by them) Once testing and approval is set (in accordance with ADR) the kit/s will obtain a certificate from a licensed certifier, be assigned a number and registered in the system.

The kits will then need to have an engraved or stamped number in each kit that the "inspection" station can verify per the engineering data and certifications. The kits will be approved as long as all part numbers match, none are missing or altered and are installed properly within ADR guidelines and the inspector is satisfied. (SOUNDS LIKE CALI SMOG....)

As far as a Trail Tailor agent... NO as far as a Trail Tailor reseller... POSSIBLY. I have many vendor contacts there with excellent reputations, but in the end it will come down to who has the most professional and quality background to support my parts. We have someone in mind but until we get closer that will not be released.

That looks cool. You going to have decals made? I'd love one of the bottom design to add to my collection. Or throw them in with orders? If that's the plan I better order some vents 😁

TT Customs stickers and patches are only available to TTC customers. The standard TT stickers have been around for years and are slipped in to packages regularly.

Oh darn, looks like I'm gonna have to order some stuff 😂

Trail Tailor Customs only performs services/modifications in house.
OOOHHHHHHH now I follow you. I didn't catch that there was a differentiation between TTC and TT. Still, gonna have to order some stuff. Don't try to stop me!😁
