I recognized my truck, handy work, and photo on their website. I’m not so impressed… they certainly don’t have my permission to use my photo… and to pass off my hand made spear as one of their own.

‘Images are subject to copyright’ it says. Did you publish that pic on the internet on this forum?
I’d say you are kinda out of luck. Every time I look up pics of BJ74 I find pics of my own truck.
Once you put them out there….

It's one thing for pics to float around on the web. It's another for a business to use my picture to advertise their product. I hand made the spear out of a piece of solid aluminum stock, and they are claiming that's what their product looks like installed. I view it as false advertising since it's not a picture of their product, and don't believe their product would look as good once installed.

The rules are quite different when they start using my picture (of my one off product) to market their product.

I am sorry for the confusion. I was sitting in my easy chair one night and Googled "FJ40 Hood Trim" . Yours came up, and even a reference to ours. I know our customers like seeing them on vehicles. So, I put it on there. I did not know it was a one-off that you created. We have sold a bunch of them, I just figured it was one we had sold. Anyhow, I had my guys remove your picture as well as ptu more detailed ones on ours, Billet Hood Trim for Early Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 Split Hood Emblem Spear – JT Outfitters - https://www.jtoutfitters.com/product/billet-hood-trim-for-early-land-cruiser-fj40-split-hood-emblem/

Once again, sorry for any misunderstandings. Yours looks great too!

Zero to hero in one post 😉

It’s nice to see there are still people involved in the cruiser “community” and not just some guy selling parts for a truck you might have.

👍👍👍

Just enough of this bulls*** to make the roads a f***ing mess. 🤮🤮
At least it'll be gone by tomorrow.

We’ve got a light frosting here also… doesn’t look like it stuck on the road. Probably first melted and then froze.

On a side note… I can now get a clear picture of why our front lawn is such a mess. The pine tree caught all the snow that would have landed on it except for a strip about 2.5’ wide. It’s shadow is about 35’ across… let’s hope it never comes down.

There’s 2….

Actually fairly close by there’s an old unimog in the bush. Pretty rough but the portal axles are still there an intact. I know the guy whose parents ran the ranch and used it daily in the 60’s. Story goes they drove it in when they were putting the road through to Dease lake. Apparently there’s an old series 1 landrover somewhere as well. Don’t care about those 🤣
